It's unfortunately really too intensive to run well on PS4 now. So the console may overheat, crash, lag, low fps etc. It's a better experience on PS5, but unfortunately still some performance issues due to core issues
It's normal to have the console sounding like a 747 on take off when running TSW. It is pretty hardware demanding. BUT: Make sure your PS4 cooling vents aren't clogged with dirt. (It's amazing what the cooling fan and the heat sink can accumulate over the time.) Have it cleaned. Or purchase a PS5 if you can afford it. That console plays in another league and keeps quiet with TSW.
Even tho I just cleaned my PS4 PRO it still kinda tends to overheat-crash the console when entering idk photo mode or on larger scenarios, why even sell the game if its not gonna run well?
On Kinzigtalbahn, I got 2 messages today from my PS5 telling me it’s too hot to stop playing it until in cools off. In aaaall the time I’ve had it, and aaaall the different games I’ve played, I never got that even once. But here comes DTG casually setting records — I get 2 in one day! But yeah… I mean it doesn’t even run well on PC so of course it won’t run well for us.
They said that they were hoping to start releasing fixes for performance in the new year (they said this late last year). Very much hope we hear about them on Tuesday at the roadmap.
DTG were looking at core updates, which would hopefully improve all DLCs performance, and also route specific updates mainly for the TSW5 headline content.
