In the mission KT(41810) of Salzburg-Rosenheim, when I set reverser to Forward, the locomotive will not apply power when the speed is above 2 kph. But if the speed below 2 kph or reverser in Backward, it can apply power normally. Why and how to resolve it? A phenomenon is when i change the reverser from Close to Neutral, the sound of locomotive suddenly stop, and recover after a few seconds.
Which 185.2 did you choose? (And you are not a Special Agent, so there is no "missions". It's called a "service".) No issues here. After coupling up to the consist and setting brakes to G and PZB U, also no issues. (except the rear headlights can't be switched off for reasons only known to DTG)
I've already submitted a ticket a day ago, but they still haven't responded. The 185.2 with Rosenheim can't reverse faster than 2 kmh (cuts power, some random direct brakes) It doesn't mean the loco cannot be in reverse faster than 2 kmh, it means that, from the view of cab 1, you cannot go backwards faster than 2 kmh using its own power. i.e. you cannot go faster than 2 kmh in cab 2 in forward, but you can go 150 kmh in reverse (without PZB). If you have Rosenheim, it'll be the "BR 185.2 DB" (spacing is important in distinguishing the different locos) with the Railion livery. Quite a significant bug that breaks any form of shunting since you can't go backwards in any meaningful way.
I've picked the Kassel 185 for this test. It seems to do the job apart from the back lights issue. (As you spawn in as a single loco, TSW treats it as light engine throughout the session, trying to be clever but failing.)
A few more points to note: The "BR 185.2 DB" from Voralberg without the suspension updates doesn't break. If you have Rosenheim you can't drive faster than 2 kmh in reverse even in Voralberg because that train is overridden by the Rosenheim version. The audio stopping putting the reverser into neutral is your pantograph (集電弓) changing from front to back (standard practice). During this time, the train actually has no power. You should need to re-close the MCB afaik, but this version doesn't seem to require that. While in English, timetable is called "timetable", the Chinese translation is quite weird, so I see where "mission" came from.
The only one that breaks should be the Rosenheim version with the suspension updates. I tested every other version and they work fine.
Alright - that's why I was asking the OP. So it's the SRM 185.2 then (that strangely enough does appear under the 185 RP - it's all a mess...)
Honestly they should just have all locos as DLCs and have routes include these DLCs to avoid such confusion, but that's beside the point. The absolute stupidity of having to move the Rosenheim DLC to play Voralberg is quite amusing though.
Confirmed, they managed to break something again. Sigh... Jumps like a kangaroo when using AFB. Basically the SRM 185 is broken and unusable. In this case, the whole trip is from cab 2, so unplayable with that loco. Checking the Vorarlberg 185 - the AFB is broken in Cab 2. (Just keeps accelerating). So there's different faults in each version of the 185... for this trip, the Kassel (only taillights bug) one seems the best.
Yes, we have the same problem. The direction of 2 kph and Rosemheim are the same, so I can't finish this timetable. I made an illustration: Maybe I should submit the ticket too. My English is not good. Thank you for your understanding and tolerance.
I enter this timetable from Rail Journeys. It's in the last episode of Salzburg-Rosenheim,("步入TRAXX正轨" in Chinese and I don't know its English). It's BR 185.2 DB in a RAILION livery. My English is not good. Thank you for your understanding and tolerance.
I can't complete the scenario at the start of this journey chapter. I suppose you completed it before the loco was bugged by its suspension "upgrade". In Journey Mode, we cannot select the locomotive, it's always the SRM one, and it doesn't work. I completed the service in timetable mode, using a working loco, but it didn't progress the Journey.
This loco is broken when used on Main-Spessart Bahn and i have entered a report here, but will they respond ? I put about 2 hours into this issue ... but what value is put on that as a valued customer ? I have my doubts after the last report i made in this forum. Call it my "mission" to be of "service" in this game ... i mean, world simulation. VR guy Canada
On PS5, for some routes, that Salzburg 185.2 is not alone: a RailPool 185 shows up ... but not with all of the other 185 and 185.2 ? But Why ? That loco is from Tharandter Rampe ! It is ancient and belongs surely with the others ! Or OOPS ! Did someone build the NEW livery from that old model ? But that old RP does not like to layer in on some routes that have no RailPool 185 but just other 185 !
In the extreme, we would lump all 112, 114 and 143 into the same Bauriehe list BR post-DDR. But we need not go to that extreme even if there is an argument for it. But in going to filtered German loco's as a UI page, let's sort out the 185. Either all together, or the 185.2 on their own list ... but not this goulash ! Should they not be listed together by livery and not by route ?? By year built ? Just anything that makes sense.
Yes there is BR 185.5 list but at least those are both MRCE and only appear there, right ? They are the SAME, right ? Imagine the Euro Sprinter variant lists we could end up with ... and 193 variants ... now that we will have Expert 185, Expert 182, ....
start at route Nahverkehr Dresden Select time table to get layered and route locos. Select 185.5 You are going to be on a Dresden service, so why is that Rhein-Ruhr Osten BR 185.5 MRCE listed first above the Dresden loco ? Is it a lower numbered loco ? You cannot click for " Info on this variant " ... but why not ? Do devs not master Lists early on ?
Perhaps the silliest hold-over from TS pre-2020 is the BR110 and the BR 110 BR110 DB BR 100 DB DB BR110 DB BR 110 the latter 2 are yet to be released ... but where is the BR185 list you ask? KWG BR185 DB BR185.5 MRCE Our BR 185.2 DB has one Em more space than our BR185.2 DB BUT Note: that KWG list has Space 185 and short-on-space 185, i mean "short-one-space" I drop my E's betimes and b'times ...
Just came here to say that I have experienced the exact same problem with this 185.2 from Rosenheim. I currently cannot finish my timetable on Ruhr Sieg Nord either with this loco. Will only go 2km/h in one direction. DTG Alex can you guys please confirm you will fix this? Because otherwise I will try to refund Rosenheim.
Unfortunately there is still the problem that the BR 185.2 from Rosenheim (TSW4) only travels at 2 km/h after changing the control position. When will this be fixed, it didn't just happen yesterday as I see here in the forum.
Did anyone have any luck with this? Such an annoying issue and it doesn't seem it was fixed. Or am I doing something wrong with this loco? It seems to be working fine in the training "mission" and can move both directions just fine. In the International Aid mission, however, it can't reverse faster than 2 km/h.

So here we are 4 months after release and the 185 is still broken. Still not possible to finish "international aid" scenario f.e. So sad.
The main thing is that Thomas and the Magic Railroad will come. All other bugs and errors are not important and have been ignored or made worse for months
I have found this on international aid scenario on playstation 5 I have just done a ticket on it. Video below
Yeah, I am doing it now and I am struggling to get above 2.3km/h in Salzburg yard, I'm just trundling through the yard wondering what is going to happen when I get to the other end Perhaps someone can explain why, after multiple reports, someone has felt the need to complete ignore what is being reported?
Maybe it's time for some word from the Producer, isn't it? I can't wrap my head around why this is still an issue although it was reported months ago DTG Matt
You are absolutely correct, I have just deleted the Salzburg-Rosenheim DLC off of my console because the last three scenarios are broken beyond repair and I want nothing more to do with that route until someone pulls their finger out and fixes it
That was my first time doing that scenario I'm not going to try it again intill it's been fixed as there probably isn't any point of trying it again
