There are no layers on Semmeringbahn. It is obviously a widespread problem. The one time, the only time, DTG even bothered to reply, the reply was nonsense. It should not be this hard, just to get information. Was Semmeringbahn throttled for Gen 8 and Series S, and we were just never told? Or is it broken? I don't care if this was intentional or not, or whether the intent is to fix it or not. How about just an honest and straight-up answer about what is going on here? Or, if the feeling is that the answer will be embarrassing to DTG, at the very least can't we get an acknowledgement that the players are experiencing this issue? I have been years on this forum and not once tagged anyone from DTG, but the ignoring of the players here has been going on for far too long, so DTG Matt DTG Alex DTG Harry, anyone care to address what's going on here? For Gen 8 there are no additional layers due to memory issues. Usually they put this stuff in the article. It can be difficult to find information about gen 8 restrictions especially because most of the time they're in the roadmap or preview streams which can be annoying to go through to find the exact moment. Would be very helpful if it was in an article or thread especially as it's one of the main things I have to consider when buying a route at full price.

You have just done for the players what DTG hasn't been able to do since at least last May, which is to give a straight and definitive answer about the missing layers that is in a searchable place for all to see. After all, if we look at the contemporary article that came out with the route https://live.dovetailgames.com/live/train-sim-world/articles/article/semmeringbahn-coming-soon We can see no mention of Gen 8 not getting any layers. So, there is no way to know what you are not getting, until after you have bought it. That's a dishonest business practice that DTG have allowed to perpetuate with the reduced layers in Series S for SBD and FTF that were never advertised either (SBD was subsequently fixed). As for me, since I play on Series S there is still no definitive answer about the layers but with this new information I think we can see what's coming, if any more information is in fact coming. I don't understand why DTG can't, or won't, be more honest and open about these kinds of issues.
