Think before my last triage it was over 500Gb. Too much really, particularly as some routes will never get played again. Not sure what it is now, but probably about half that or thereabouts.
I have TSC Split over two drives. The main G Drive is running the current version and is 640Gb - 351 DLC items just off Steam plus other things like AP stock. The other F drive runs V72.3 and is 956Gb - most of this is Third Party but with some Steam downloads There are a number of items on the G drive duplicated to the F drive which Steam does not see or affect. Most of the items on the F Drive are European routes and stock.
And that is with currently all US routes and Loco / Stock DLC unticked in Steam and uninstalled. Would be close on 3TB if these were re-installed. (Steam reports 299.51GB not sure where that info comes from) I really have to stop buying new stuff, I shudder to think how many £thousands I have spent on this hobby.
18 GB. Yes. I am lean! I am considering Spikee's method though to only stash away scenarios. Still, editing is a mess if you don't know the exact asset pack. On the fun side, I have no favourite loco or route. Oops. (Of course I do, it's just not installed.)
I just checked and my Railworks folder is 840 GB. I'm sure that I will probably never run some of my 375 routes again but I don't like deleting any in case some of the freeware routes depend on them. In any case I have 2 x 2TB NVME disks so I should be OK for now. The size of my Railworks folder increased a lot due to the the 't Hart Van Nederland V2 - And Other Great Freeware Routes thread by Spikee. The best thread of 2024 IMO. From having no Dutch routes I now have all that I know of. When I get round to it I'll attempt to obtain other European routes such as Czech, Hungarian and Romanian routes. I want them all .
Surprisingly small considering. I guess only having British routes and rolling stock makes the difference.
