The UK scene in TSW desperately needs more diesel locomotives other than the class 66. I think that a class 67 would be a great addition as it could layer onto many routes adding not just a more varied rail scene but also more unique gameplay with special services such as sleeper services etc. I'm not sure exactly what routes would benefit most and I'm open to suggestions but perhaps a TfW livery could provide layers onto the upcoming Cardiff city route. I can imagine there being longer services for WCML and ECML, with AI services at major terminal stations. Obviously I'm not entirely sure on which routes would work best, but I think it would be a cool loco to see in TSW instead of just more class 66s.
You’re 100% correct we need some new locos. The 66 and EMUs are becoming very old and are making the game feel stale. I’m still hoping for a 50,56 or a 60 to make an appearance at some point. I think any of these will come from a third party though.
Whilst I agree that we need more UK freight locos, the 67 only really operates the TfW DVT services.. I know TfW don't own all the existing class 67s but I can't remember that last time I saw a Class 67 doing freight work.. To my knowledge, they were mainly build for the TPO services but after those trains were withdrawn in 2004, they've been hanging around not doing much. The 67s are the main workhorses the Belmond British Pullman charters aswell as 3 being used on the Royal Train
Also Class 67 is going to sound similar to the 66 as DTG would probably just alias the sounds. We need a new UK diesel (old or modern) that isn't a GM.
There are several types to choose from but as has been the case for a long time now, locomotive dlc have been few and far between which is a travesty when we consider how many missing classes we already haven't got yet. Come on devs, time to pick up the pace with a flurry of locomotive dlc for existing routes. German content seems to me to get a lot more additional types than the UK content but as I don't play them, I could be wrong. We really need to fill up the back catalogue for more intensive timetables.
