I downloaded a French route recently and it is quite good apart from the Rail Joint Sound which is ok at slower speeds but seems wrong for 100mph/160kmh running
    The track used shows as
    Assets\RWAustria\Austria\RailNetwork\DBTracks\Track\DBTracks_DB1.bin to DB4.bin
    IMG_0935.jpg
But there is nothing in the .bin file to show jointed or not

The Track Rule is Assets\....\DBTracks\TrackRules\DBTracks_60.bin thru to 100.bin
But nothing is those show jointed track

    Any help please?

No need to change any track types. Just go to the Assets folder for the route. Then \Audio\Railnetwork\TrackBedRumble\Trackbed
Find the track type for the track sounds you wish to change.
Open the bin file in TS Tools. And change the entry in the top line of my example to 0.
There will then be a lack of jointed rail sounds. 18.2880 gives the 60ft UK jointed rail sounds.

    <DistancebetweenJoints d:type="sFloat32" d:alt_encoding="00000040E17A3E40" d:precision="string">18.2880</DistancebetweenJoints>
    <JunctionClatterDistance d:type="sFloat32" d:alt_encoding="0000000000002440" d:precision="string">4</JunctionClatterDistance>

But what if that track is used in other routes that you'd want jointed sounds?

    Thanks for the replies -
The sounds were from the Kuju Audio files - I did not wish to amend them as it would affect a lot of routes
It was a problem with the actual files that came with the route.
Overwriting them with my backup got rid of the rail joint sound

If the track is used in other routes, it will have it's own sound files.
    Unless it is freeware.
