I've been wondering... I've many DLCs, and when a install them all, it seems the game perfomance just gets a bit worse, it might not be true. Does it actually impacts the game perfomance or no? I tried installing only the routes I want to play in the moment, but it gets a bit boring changing the DLCs all the time
I haven't noticed to be honest, I have most of the ones I own installed but do chop and change sometimes when I need disk space. I wouldn't have thought the size of your installation would make any difference when you are actually running a route, it might affect the length of time loading the sim takes but not the performance.
If you own more dlcs, then layers and substitutions can happen which means you'll see decreased performance from all the extra traffic. Or if you buy a remastered dlc, you could see lower performance. In terms of overall performance for owning more dlc, there is no correlation
I triaged out all but one of my US routes, a couple of UK routes and one German route, including deleting the relevant pak files (PC). It freed up some much needed HD space but has had zero impact on the current TSW5 performance issues.
Yeah I ran Frankfurt on the lowest graphical settings with none of the layers, just to see. Still horrific performance at Frankfurt and Hanau.
