    How authentic do you find it, based on your experience? Not many of us here have actually driven the real steel.

    Good, locos great react to controls good, too much to start and loose grip untill you drop down a little, will have to use sand to correct this, think its available, used to be the little button at the end of power lever.., different reactions for the 40 to the 08 as you would expect..
    Braking the heavy oil train with 2 X 40's is very authentic, down the inclines you need to set it just right and leave them on whatever % dictated by the down grade.. dirty and grubby cabs ok :)
    Flat out 2 x 40's on oil heading to Manchester on grades and not gaining any speed, great to hear though..

    I was 16 when this was taken at Water Orton Sidings, I was number taker there, I had to get a list of wagons on each departing train and report to control.. spent a lot of time on the 08...
