Festival Of Rail is basically DTG’s annual firesale. A last push for revenue before the end of the financial year. I mean we have the core routes from TSW4 - AVL, ECML and Vorarlberg at 90% off. Make the most of it!
Unfortunately, as in past sales, I find myself unable to " make the most of it " because I have all the US and UK routes and locos, many bought simply for layering. Unless I go crazy with German stuff, which I'm not about to do because they all look very similar to me. ( I did grab Semmeringbahn, partly out of frustration and partly because I do like the look of the mountain sections. )
Same here and I am quite enjoying it, though ironically with the 4024 more than the Taurus. I did toy with getting Bernina but after I previously tried and refunded it I have remained unconvinced of the need to reward Rivet and DTG for only doing half the route and a less than sterling version of the Allegra (physics all over the place). Maybe at 90% off... The only other routes missing are the new MBTA, which doesn't really interest particularly as I've removed most of the NA content and Ludwig which is too new to be in the sale.
