Some of you may have noticed these 2 interlopers, the result of an accidental find online: BR Jubilee 45604 'Ceylon' in 1948 Express Green livery, and a matching 'Blood & Custard' MK1 BSO coach
As an aside, something quite different. My foray into the world of German wagons has thrown up a few more potentials - this time using the DRA Zacns. First is one of my favourite types of wagon - the wine tanker! Oh yes, French wine by the 30 Tons or so! How wonderful. Next is a more toxic substance - liquid Chlorine. You wouldn't want to mix those 2 up!
The final 2 locos from my backlog. There have been quite a few to upload, as you probably are aware, and I can now free up space for more - new - reliveries! Last two are both Brush Type 4s D1808 D1111 - the final numbered of the class but not the final built.
So, what is next? I'm still looking for International ferry wagons that are appropriate for UK and have about a dozen I can do. There will probably be more as I haven't downloaded all the continental DLS I own and so there may be some other wagons I can use. I recall a wagon called 'Interfriggio' or something similar, which was a 2 axle white refrigerated van available as a 'OO' kit many years ago. Maybe that is do-able if there is a suitable donor. There are a few What ifs to come - an alternative livery for Class 37s in particular. Some odd-ball one-offs from Class 08 and Class 40 (genuine liveries!) And then back to preserved locos and stock from where I left off. I am eagerly waiting for the Class 86 to repaint, but we could really do with something new in the diesel stable (Class 25 or 55 please and Class 56 with MGRs!) and a Class 31 to relivery! Here's hoping for a busy 2025.
A couple of new Cargowagon liveries. These are both VTG Ferrywagons in their distinctive Grey & Blue livery, one pretty much generic, the other very specific. VTG Ferrywagon 21 80 029 8 218-7 VTG Ferrywagon with 'Scunthorpe Rod Mill' markings. As far as I know, these wagons were used on a UK internal diagram between the Rod Mill at Scunthorpe, Lincolnshire and one of the South Wales British Steel Works. VTG 33 80 279 7 070-0
Not often you see the word "Scunthorpe" in TSW. Extra points for that one Dave How do these look scale-wise running with UK locos? Mind you a few lurking around on empty sidings in the distance would blend in quite nicely. Well done.
Made sure it wasn't included in the title! I suppose the Cargowagons could appear with any class of loco, but they must have looked odd against a Class 25.
It never ceases to amaze me the ingenuity of some people - in this case a certain French entrepreneur who managed to sell water to the Brits! Yes, we whose country is regularly drenched in rain and, notwithstanding the efforts of some water management companies, have so much of the stuff, ended up buying water from the French - by the trainload! Yes, I'm talking Perrier Sparkling Water, sourced in the Vergeze spring in the Gard Departement. VTG decided to allocate a number of Cargowagons to the transportation of bottled water and labelled them accordingly. Here are 2 versions: VTG 83 70 279 5 346-7 which had 4 small Perrier labels affixed each side VTG 83 70 279 5 349-0 with a large Perrier label right-of-centre. I'm not totally sure what the small red, white and blue emblem says as I can't find a clear enough picture, so I've improvised with the lettering. Lurking in the dark corners of my Livery Editor were these 2. I wonder... I wonder... why did BR not paint their Class 37s (EE Type 3s) in this livery from the beginning? Was it to keep the Deltics distinctive? Or was it to save time in the painting process? Whatever, here are 2 EE Type 3s in 2-tone Green livery, one with small yellow panels, the other with full yellow ends. D6600
A different track today - I remembered that although I did a representation of LMS 10000 (from a Class 37) a while back, I had not done its twin 10001. So, acquisition of a few pics and that was put right. I thought I was safe re. the BR emblems, but realised I needed the early 'Cycling Lion'. Why, why, why can we not import decals into the game??? It took me 3 days to product that one decal, which needs building for every different subject it goes on! First is 10000 in Black with emblem, as acquired in early 1950s
Also by the early 1950s or possibly the late 1940s, 10001 acquired the BR emblem. Notice its size and location differ to that added to 10000
Since my desire is to run these out of Euston double-headed, I have to populate Euston with stock appropriate to the OHLE, which of course was not added until much later. This neccessitated a What If... EMU

I'm a bit behind with my updates, so here's what I've been uploading: To go with the LMS theme, I'm concentrating on LMS wagons, initially LMS owned wagons and the first batch are all 5-plank open wagons for Loco coal, although some of them are not marked as such. Also included is a Brake Van, in LMS colours, but I've had to use the only existing Brake Van in the game, which is an LNER design. Needs must... Flicking through pics of LMS locos made me realise that there were a couple of other classes that looked very similar to the Jubilee. Around 1930s, the LMS began to rebuild some of their Patriot and Royal Scots to use the Stanier 2A boiler and the final appearance was very Black 5 style. Ironically, the LMS Jubilees were a carry-on order from the rebuilt Patriots! These locos ran without smoke deflectors for a while, before BR fitted them all with deflectors. LMS Rebuilt Patriot 5521

Well, you can’t really trust the ttte addon, because it includes - Thomas (first tank engine technically woo) - Annie and Clarabel (first non ‘MK’ coaches woohoo) -Diesel And the Troublesome Trucks

I would like to express my thanks and appreciation to DTG for helping me reach over 1000 subscibers for one of my uploaded liveries - D0280 Falcon in original livery. DTG posted Falcon and 3 others of my uploads to the Featured Section of Creator's Club a few months ago and the numbers have risen gradually, with Falcon reaching 1000 yesterday. It does make me wonder how many Falcons there are out there traversing the tracks of Germany and North America, or perhaps some other distant lands? I love modelling the many varied liveries of British Railways and even some earlier companies (LMS, LNER etc), and sharing them to the community is something that also gives me satisfaction. Whether the result is 5 subscribers or 995, I am not concerned, but it still pleases me that someone is enjoying these examples of my work. Thank you and regards to all, Dave (PinzaDave aka PD7)
We continue the LMS theme with shunters. The LMS spearheaded the use of Diesel Shunters in the 1930s and had quite a collection before Nationalization in 1948. These shunters are not totally correct design-wise, but represent the English Electric 350HP designs before BR standardization. 7083 / 7098
