Technically wasn’t Frankfurt to Fulda the first TSW5 German route?

Anyhow previous comments on this route apply. Not worth £30 for a 70km average quality inter urban route little difference to what we already have in game and no new rolling stock.

Also little point in buying new DLC until something is done to address the core issues which, no disrespect to you Harry, continue to be met with a wall of silence despite the numerous concerns being raised in the forums.

 

Cannot find this in the MS store only give me a CTS tram to purchase. A link would be useful please.

No, DTG, you will not get any of my money until your position on continuing TSC development and improvement of TSW becomes clear and is satisfactory.

CTS looks sort of nice, but seems too much of a TSW clone to really wet my appetite. Plus I want 4 axle PCC cars with their swift acceleration.

Another metro sim has appeared, set in 1970's Prague, and it looks more interesting already.

DTG's failing commitment to actually listen and improve puts me off, and I rather appreciate more supportive developers.

 

I like the route. I might buy it. But I don't want to turn off 4K resolution, turn off layering and only ride in clear weather. And the risk of textures starting to blur is high and I don't want to wait for a fix that might be released.

 

I cant find the route on steam. Is it only available via microsoft store?

 

That Back In Service looks quite interesting and Schaunpowaz always gives an honest appraisal in his reviews. A few wrinkles such as the harsh brakes and not getting paid at the conclusion of the run, but hopefully that will be sorted along with extending the route. Also from what I can see no massive performance issues or sound glitching so multiple lessons there for DTG.

Just as always with these things, the early access gamble. However the fact the team are out on the depot and trains recording sounds indicates a fair level of commitment, so I might support this later.

 

Thought I'll pass it until some discount this time, unfortunately the route, without any new trains, look something similar to what we just have .... And what we just have bring us new train...

 

I just got it and no issues here (PS5). The problems I still have with Frankfurt-Fulda don't occur here.

I agree with you about the first German route on TSW5, was Frankfurt Fulda.
But I believe, as it is part of the usual 3 route package on every new TSW version..., DTG is referring about the first "route", after it.

Yeah, this will bite DTG back in its tail, for promises make debts ...
and the list of faults, bugs, errors is already so long ...
and the list of (failed to deliver / broken ) promises equally ...
but apparently cash was urgently needed, and [removed; insulting - DTG Harry] are ready to gobble up another route for a few hours of entertainment.

 

Every game will have known issues at launch. Why do you think day 0 or day 1 patches exist and they have to continuously patch it? So why is it a bad thing in tsw but not in other games?

 

And get it over with...

Thanks for the feedback on PS5.... the question is what will happen when there is traffic, so far, as I've been able to track down, it's rather modest in terms of traffic

 

Any reviws yet on xbox series x for this route?
I don't want to have a blurry textures nightmare as Frankfurt - Fulda.

 

I’m playing on Xbox series S and there aren’t any extra layers. Even on the article said only PS4 and Xbox one have restricted timetables. Can someone please respond cause this feels like false advertising.

 

It won't get much busier than this. Even with the layers still to be added. Not even close to routes with problems in this aspect, like Frankfurt

I have several of layers, including the ICE 1 and the IC, yet they don’t show up. I checked the layer selector, and they were activated.

 

I saved this one in my Xbox wish list to buy at a later date and/or on sale. I usually gobble up most DLC, but at $40 for a route with no new rolling stock, I honestly can't justify it. I get that some of the trains are being updated to current standards but that still doesn't quite get me to the current price point. Adding insult to injury is the fact that it's being released with known bugs and issues, on top of the usual TSW5 core issues that have basically become a feature at this point.

I really think it might be time for DTG to consider pausing DLC releases to have all hands on deck work on the TSW5 core issues. The third parties should keep on developing their products, but DTG continues to follow this nasty habit of releasing product on a hasty schedule (with undeserved hype) at the expense of quality. This would be tolerable if we were getting Day 1 or even Week 1 patches, but we're not. Sure, a pause in releases would anger some, but people are going to be angry no matter what you do. Something like a weekly "developer blog" style update saying "these are the bugs we're working on this week, this is our progress" would be much, much better than constantly repeating "a patch will follow in a later update" at the end of what feels like every release announcement lately.

 

Can you confirm if Xbox series s is suppose to have the layers, because the article said it would.

So is anyone playing this?

Currently sitting at 28% positive on Steam. Worst of any TSW5 route so far- WCMLS sits second-worst at 37%.

The rest of the list is pretty fascinating:
Metrolink LA-SBD 60%
Frankfurt-Fulda 68%
MBTA Boston-Worcester 80%
WCMLOS 89%

Not sure how well reviews correlate with sales performance, but the no-new-rolling stock decision seems unpopular to say the least- and not just in these forums.

I'm affraid but in the roadmap stream, Alex stated that the additional layers and the new timetable aren't coming for the route. All I know are the updates for the route itself are coming

Me, too. It's a beautiful route. I love the 425 and ICE with suspension.

 

It's okay, without any issues, even now with extended timetable with all layers.

 

Are there PZB and signaling issues left after last patch?
I'm holding off buying (even though I really love the 425 and S-Bahn) because it will ruin my day/experience ...

 

I have experienced some headed down the hill near Neustadt and further in the same direction around Schifferstadt.

 

I think it's a beautiful route with some issues, the biggest let down is no new train

 

A recently update note said that's now is possible to drive the TGV on this route, what's exactly that mean?
We just have some service with that train...

 

The very few TGV services on that route are now playable. Tested them myself last night.
Didn't finish the run though since I fell asleep before reaching Ludwigshafen, but it works. Sans safety systems of course except VACMA. But at least one can now drive the TGV on a route that features AI traffic that is not just another TGV like on the LGV it came with. Ain't much, but better than nothing I suppose.

They also added one pair of ICE-T services, not sure if those came with the most recent update or a prior one, but that also works.
