I changed the track types in the network.bin file with TS Tools, but apart from improving track I lost electrification. These improved tracks came from a route without electrification. The specification of that track section, and in fact all sections of the route, the Electrification is set to 'None'.
In which configuartion file is this specified and with what parameter, and can I change this with a 'find and replace all' similar as to changing tracks to set all track to 'Overhead Wires'?
Doing this by hand for all track segments in the route editor is undoable.
    Thanks.

Did you change the track rule? Generally if by default a route is set to "electric" (by the track rule), if you change it to another track rule with the default setting of "not electrified" you will change most Overhead wires to non electric

I changed the trackrule as well, I thought it was specific to the track. I'll have a look at it again keeping the original trackrule.

It is but if it's set in the trackrule by default as Electric - then i think the setting would be default or unchanged in the tracks.bin file, it only changes to Electric (3rd Rail, 4th Rail or OHLE) if you manually change the track properties in game. (it's the same with a diesel trackrule)

Thanks again, problem is solved by keeping the original trackrule. I did a change in the past with other tracks on the same route but there the trackrule was set by electric/overhead by default, these tracks originate from a diesel route.
