Looks like the driver didnt have his train under control, or his lack of understanding the brake system caused a runaway train.

Why blame the devs on this for creating a simulation experience?

Yesterday I went to turn on the Sifa tap on the chassis and I didn't notice it and didn't brake, or rather, before I could reach down to do it, it started to move... that was good fun, unfortunately it went through the "stop signal" and was over.

Today's update says that there will be some update of the tracks, maybe that's right, but those tracks still, when the gravel base is completely covered in snow, seem quite strange ......
OBB1020 bogies remained unnoticed, which I assume is probably the case. The strange effects that it does in different weather, especially in cloudy weather or on the opposite sunny side, are very disturbing to me. And I don't understand at all why TSG did it that way, the previous models don't do that, and we don't have many of them For me, today's update, although I didn't have high expectations, is a big disappointment so far.

The track doesn’t appear to be up to current TSW standards.

According to TSG, this TSG route will be updated next week.

30 seconds for the journey from Klais to Mittenwald might be a close shave :o
Did some calculations, an average speed of just about 900 km/h would do the trick

So typically you use the weak setting, unless you're a heavy freight and/or going up the hills as you'd use more power. I'm not too precise about it because the impact on gameplay is actually minimal as is, and the tutorial in game explains it too, but admittedly, I could have added a mention. Sorry about that.

The update today did not include the track visual updates that you expect. Those are with the bigger update, im speaking to the team about the changelog

I'm stuck on the 'a shovely time' scenario. After I ran around the rescued train at Hochzirl I coupled at the front. Then I get stuck at the red sign at the end of the platform. Any ideas?

Behind me the intercity to Dortmund (E1406) is stopped at the next signal. In front of me, at Reith, the intercity in other direction (E687) is waiting. Strange to me is the current status of that one: 'stop pending dependancy'. Don't think I ever saw that..

I can't manually remove any of them.

Will there be any updates to more start/end points regarding scenario planner for the route? For example, only 3 platforms can be selected as a start point at Innsbruck Hbf etc.

I was puzzled as to why running around is split into three parts but looking at the timetable there's lots of 2 & 3 part runs so I'm thinking that maybe if the runs were all one part runs the timetable would look a bit sparse with next to nothing in it.

If I remember correctly from the stream, Lukas mentioned that it's because of correct AI usage of pantograph and light setup on the loco for shunting....

Unfortunately, we have noticed several times with these shared services that the results do not count the correct points and how many times a person reaches the maximum for gold.

I'd also like to add some further praise, this time for the mountains, which I think are the best-looking ones in TSW so far. As a fan of the Alps, this pleases me to no end :)

Thank you, I'm just wondering if the shadow under the Rmms car will also be adjusted, as I reported?
It is only in the middle part of the car, it is missing under the chassis.

    • Rmms freight wagon has no player collision at front and rear, except for the buffers (tested with unloaded wagon variant).
    • Garmisch-Partenkirchen Kainzenbad:
      • Small road joining the street immediately north of the level crossing is bugged. The road is placed “on top” of the street and is textureless at the end.
      • The transition from the platform to the grassy lawn is very jagged, especially when viewed from above.
      • Low-res wall textures inside the station building shelter area, especially near the arches.
    • Innsbruck-Allerheiligenhoefe: Big building complex with church (?) tower a bit south of the track is floating above ground.
    • Giessenbach:
      • AI passenger walking route from/to the station erroneously sends them right through the trees north of the station instead of making them use the adjacent walkway.
      • Southern end of the aforementioned walkway is floating, where it meets the station area adjacent to the loading track.
      • Window frame in northern corner of station building (where the building overhang overlooks the valley) is missing its texture, you can see right through it.
      • Player can fall into and get stuck in the bushes at the southern corner of the station building because of missing collision near the stone/rock staircase leading away from the shelter area.
      • When following the aforementioned staircase to down below, one can see the side and invisible background of a stone/brick arch texture as it overhangs the southwestern corner of the station building slightly.
      • Gießenbachbrücke bridge sign texture north of the station complex and loading track is duplicated and flashing. It appears like the lower of the two identical sign textures (which also has a missing back texture when viewed from behind) should be removed.
      • The dirt road leaving the level crossing towards the east is floating.

DTG Lukas And is there any chance of adding a key binding for the schnell-aus? Even if it wasn't changeable in the game menu...

Please don't let the cows go back on the tracks.
It's very frustrating and unpleasant to run them over.

Roast beef or beef casserole on the menu in the restaurant car (if the formations had one). Though seriously, not very good and glad to hear it will get fixed. :)

Did get me thinking though, if cattle graze that close to the line in real life, shouldn’t either the railway or landowner be erecting some sort of fencing to stop straying on the railway?

Just curious Lukas, as I mentioned above, would there have been some sort of fencing or did the cows stray on the railway and indeed occasionally get struck by trains?

Instead of using the horn when you see a cow just politely ask her to moooooove. I do love the animated cows and it’s definitely better if they can’t get onto the track. Just having them wandering around in the field is a big enough level of added realism without the risk of a collision.

I'm not living in the Mittenwald area, but about 50km northwest of it. Similar landscape, and we've got plenty of cattle ranches and dairy farms around here too. :)
99,99% of the pastures around here are fenced, and so they have been in the last couple of decades. Judging by old pictures, fences became quite common here during the 1920's.
Accidents involving trains and cows do happen infrequently, but mostly when cows manage to break their fence and escape.
From personal experience I can say: A typical cow's character mostly consists of a volatile mix of curiosity, stubbornness and lack of self awareness...

We might chuckle, but a train striking a cow at any sort of speed can have disastrous consequences as happened at Polmont in 1984.

I didn't intend to chuckle at it, it's a serious issue. There have been a bunch of incidents with cows around my area over the past couple of years. Luckily with no human fatalities.
And in some cases, it wasn't even the cows' fault. There was this stupid TikTok trend of scaring cows to make them run away... that caused two train accidents in my region alone.

I never knew that about TikTok, not the fringe of social media I tend to inhabit. We frequently encounter cattle on our country walks and they are docile beasts, quite harmless. Can get interesting when they cluster around a gate or stile. One walk we went on, I was waiting for my wife to get over the stile and in the meantime the cow behind me started licking my back!

Irony is, we had previously eaten roast beef for our Sunday dinner!

In our country, farmers are not allowed to graze their livestock in open areas without supervision. In the event of any accidents resulting from this, whether on railways or public roads, the farmer is responsible.

Having ridden Amtrak through farm country, I can say that 1) there are indeed fences, but 2) they break or sag over time. And farms are huge. Cow bodies lining the tracks are a frequent sight. At least our locos are so big that there's no danger of a cow causing an accident.

    PS5:

The "Ski-Sonderzug"-Scenario (duration 2:40 h) seems to be broken: You have to drive a Train from Garmisch to Innsbruck with stop at Kainzenbad, then turn around at Innsbruck Hbf and drive back to Garmisch with a few more stops. Everything went fine (except of 20 minutes delay because of "indusi-problems" on my side) until approaching Seefeld on the way back to Garmisch. There was a red signal just before the Seefeld Station, on my platform, there was an E stuck at a red signal. At Scharnitz there was another train stuck at a red signal and all signals on the map (at least between Seefeld and Garmisch) were red. After waiting approx. 30 minutes, I gave up, because removing the trains was't possible unlike other routes. Seems like a signal bug to me.

I shall avoid that one, then. Hopefully if a bug, it will get fixed. Probably part of the Journey mode, though?

And two hours forty, jeez that's why we really do need some extra save game slots so you can leave it and do something else in the meantime.

    • There’s a bright metal object floating slightly above the track in the curve east of Klais.
    • The switch leading to/from the Scharnitz Loading A siding stated it was pointed left even though the lever position was visually pointed right. Encountered in timetable mode at about 6:40 pm.
    • Small bridge over some sort of ditch between Giessenbach and Seefeld: Foundation is glitching into the track ballast and sleepers.
    • Lots of big blank posters with small “Druckfehler” (= Printing Error) labels in the display cabinets at the stations, e.g. Seefeld.
    • There are generally a lot of floating small and dirt roads, especially between Garmisch-Partenkirchen and Scharnitz.

Is this going to affect the timetable too? Because I just stumbled across a signalling issue:
Took the 111, started service E3605, which is scheduled to depart from Garmisch at 11:22. Planned arrival at Mittenwald: 11:44.
Got held back at Garmisch because the incoming E1782 got priority. Instead of it being held at Kaltenbrunn for a couple of minutes, it got signalled through to Garmisch. After it finally showed up there, I departed at 11:36 with over 12 minutes of delay. :|

    • Schlossbachklamm: With max snow level enabled, big patches of bright green trees in this area.
    • Giessenbach: Small creek/ditch descending down the hill west of the platform has a gap in the water texture at the top.
    • Scharnitz: Small gaps at the northern end of the platforms.
    • Track rendering with snow: Depending on the track/sleeper type, there’s a snow-less gap visible at a fixed distance in front of the train/player.
    • Garmisch-Partenkirchen ski jumps: The bottom of the bigger of the two jumps is floating/untextured.
    • Krokodil master switch tooltips and notifications are labeled “MasterSwitch”.
    • Krokodil undercarriage:
      • There’s a rectangular, bright white object peeking out of one side of the loco, seemingly unaffected by suspension movements.
      • There’s a small item floating between the track and the undercarriage, exactly under the middle of the loco.

At Klais Platform 3, just had a suicidal passenger walk off the platform across the track in front of my train and continue into the fields adjacent to the line.
