Will we get the March Roadmap in the first week of the month, like on March 4th or 6th? Or is it sheduled to release in the second week because not enough "new" stuff couldve been collected etc.? I think i can say many here are cannot wait for a certain de route announce and the usual updates of course. Have a good day!
As Mildmay is being released on the 4th, the March roadmap could be on the 6th or maybe 11th. It depends, l would suspect, on future release dates.
Yes, could be a reason. Still I can remember that a dlc released on a roadmap day (dont ask me which one) and they promoted it in the beginning of the stream. Otherwise we got other reasons from DTG why a roadmap wont release in the first week of the month, like "we dont have enough to share yet" or "we are still waiting for a certain update to be confirmed". I asked the same question for January so maybe we will get an answer again. Edit: The dlc was Skyhooks cargoline vol.2 released on the same day as the May Roadmap 2024
On the charity stream over the weekend I believe Matt said the roadmap stream will be Monday 3rd after the Mildmay preview this Wednesday
Let's hope we finally get some acknowledgement of the stuttering and sound issues, pretty much key to spending any more money on the game.
I myself didn’t really pay attention to any sound issues until quite recently, and my. Once you notice them they really are terrible.
They always used to be there to some extent, London Commuter was noticeable for it, but not to this extent and not accompamied by the awful lip smacking squelching effect. There is no way DTG cannot be aware of the issue as apparent on their streams, even going back to WCMLOS. Really ruining the game. I can take the odd stutter, I mean we lived with it for years on MSTS but the problem in TSW is getting beyond a joke.
being looked into, the team are doing a great job, someone's on it, we hope to have some news soon, the beta testers are telling us good things, it's definately a priority, we will update forums when we have a fix............
They will probably acknowledge the stuttering, but won't do anything about it. I watched a bit of Matts charity stream and he said they have had to get more in on the engineering side to fix performance issues, so watch this space I guess. I would guess TSW needs an overhaul at this point, DTG have been DLC after DLC, but haven't kept up updating the game, maybe I am wrong?
That would also seem to confirm suspicions that, i. They have shed most of their technical staff whether through redundancy or better opportunities elsewhere. ii. Internally either DTG or Focus, the programmers have been retasked onto other projects and TSW put on the back burner.
Yeah, I say at a certain point in TSW things were working ok-ish and at that point DTG might have had a team there doing nothing and they dropped them. The problem that creates is a false econmic picture on what a company costs to run, so when they need to get more tech staff in there is no money or not enough money in the pot to do so. What DTG should have done is maintain a certain level of techs on hand, but it is easy for us to say they should have, there may have been no choice at several points, but to drop a large work force to save the company? TSW needs a lot of TLC at this point, I did try WCML the other night and light baking and stuttering were the order of business, I switched it off, couldn't put up with that, no way!
Perhaps the programmers are helping out with Roadcraft?! Which I must say from the video clip looks absolutely stunning, even if the gameplay is going to be similar to Snowrunner. There’s a free demo kicking around on Steam and once I polish off the TSW February Mastery, hopefully tonight, I’ll be giving that a shot.
