I want to first say that Johannes has absolutely made some astounding first impressions to me and to much of the community. Whilst there may be a few bits that the minority will pick up on (supposedly due to LIDAR errors), it just blew my mind about your devotion to adding layers that help express the density of the route. The fact you even made your way to make a DLR train and even imitate stock in their unbranded liveries, really does show your commitment as a third-party developer (unlike some here... no names)! I absolutely understand that the full route would be a very risky move for a first-time route, however it would still be better to extend the mildmay line with its two legs as a second part. Now I do acknowledge whether that may be economically unviable but I do hope that it is not just me in the community who also wish for an extension: much like Rivet's Levenmouth extension." You are a fabulous developer with so much potential, however there are of course some issues that could be addressed. I cannot wait for the next route!
Agree with the OP here. If This is taking less than a year to do by this one person. Johannes is going somewhere. Has my full support.
I'd rather he went to work on a new line if this is a financial success for him. There was a good discussion of burnout from working on the same project in the livestream and jumping straight into extending a line you've already finished would certainly do just that. Better to let some creativity flow on a new route.
I honestly can't wait to see the success of this route hopefully it'll enlighten and present and create enthusiasm towards an extension it takes a lot of time and consideration to create this so to dedicate to this project I believe he gains enough success and popularity the likelihood of us recieving an extension would be likely!
Johannes mentioned that, although he isn't sure what his next route will be, it will include his New Routemaster bus models, so it will almost certainly be in London.
The route looks very impressive especially the AI traffic at Stratford. Well done Johannes. You've done a superb job.
Fantastic preview and a nice touch being able to change the PIS destinations on the TMS a nice touch that all tsw trains should have to reflect reality given in real train world no such thing as automatic setting train destinations nice one johannes
Yeah, he deserves a round of applause for this route, especially because he developed this alongside a PhD. He understood the assignment, knew the route lacked in length and packed it full of detail. While I do wish for the full route, as do many others; I am really impressed with what we have been given.
Will be playing this route with the 710 (when available) so I can fully take in the scenery. Capitalstar doesn't do it justice.
I agree. The route looks great, especially because of all those details in the scenery. It is a tremendous achievement to learn the ropes and do this fairly complex route on your own and get the job done. Make sure to buy this route, that's the best guarantee you can get for a second Incredible route.
I hope Johannes focuses on more London content going forward. Definitely need some more 465, Thameslink 700 in the game. Could even see the 707 too.
