Bought the DLC today and have just finished the tutorial. What a stylish machine, it's so art-deco, reminds me of something from Bioshock, really looking forward to driving this one. With the side window open and my forearm on it to catch the South Coast rays.
I haven't had a chance to take the Class 52 out yet. I have been trying to knuckle down and get the plat for the base game (not easy considering that I don't like RT). But talking of Art Deco, I have a print of the Nord Express hanging above my tv.
Thanks, I love that Art Deco style. I found out about it from a restaurant I used to go to. They had some on the wall, based around travel; one of an airship, one of a luxury cruise liner, one of a steam train (might have been the Orient Express), and one with some vintage race cars.
Had a love of the Westerns since I got the Lima model way back when I was a boy (still have it now forty years later). Just wished we had an opportunity to utilise its full potential.
I plan to get the Class 52 once we get a route where we can use its full potential ( meaning not limited to 25 MPH that is ). But I can totally get the feeling, it is a great loco.
The only thing that I fail to understand, is how tsw dtg locos sound great engine wise, but are totally off in terms of the horn sounds. Theres even direct comparisons within the game itself. The 3rd party locos sound absolutely spot on.
