Will the series s be affected with the layers for the new cardiff city network or is it going to have the same number of layers as the series x and ps5?

In that case Jan, the post of mine you moved is now out of context as the quote I included is still in this thread.

Can we also have an assurance that Matt or somebody will be addressing the multiple questions about the core that have been raised on here and in numerous other threads in the last few days?

Hopefully both Mildmay 378s crossing, and the Elizabeth Line ‘345’ running along the line (possibly AI only)

From what JD posted, it seems they were planned, but removed from the original release details in case they couldn’t be achieved.

You know me by now, nagging about announcements.:D Would it be possible to use Rivet Games and Just Trains and their knowledge to make voice announcements for other trains and routes? Fife Circle is a good example, despite a couple of flaws.

Does the new german loco pack contain new locos or variants of already released ones?

I missed getting my questions in before the livestream, but I'm hoping someone will be able to answer!

    1) Will reciprocal route hopping be implemented in older routes? For example, at Queen's Park one can hop from the WCML to the Bakerloo Line, but not the other way. There are many more examples of this across other routes. Route hopping is a really great feature, and it's a shame to not see it fully implemented.

    2) Will we see the Scotrail Sprinters implemented in the Fife Circle route as a timetable update? They would definitely liven things up.

    Cheers.

    1) Believe the BKL - WCML Route Hop has been implemented, but it was tied in with some other updates, and they needed to be released first.
    2) Yes, but as Rivet had implemented the base timetable in a non standard variant, Skyhook have had to unpick it, and work out how to add the 158 to it, but that are close to completing that now.

345 wasn't around in 2015 so no Crossrail services.

I presume questions about the save game were disregarded, along with most of the others about the core?

By the way here is the link to rewatch the livestream. As things got a little messed up this time (livestream got delayed/Alex felt sick) and the livestream were just started yesterday at the standard time to broadcast (without prior set video location which usually is linked up in the roadmap article and the intial post in the Q&A thread)

In the core update will you fix this bug where if you remove a train in your journey to clear a path you lose your information in the top left corner thanks

Have the 150 sounds changed in any meaningful way?
by meaningful I mean something more than changing volume or pitch by a minimal amount

But in 2015 there was no 387 on Heathrow Express.
Its going to have to be a ‘mash up’ of periods, as the 387s didn’t take over from the 332s until after the HSTs had finished, but the HSTs are still in rather than the 80x sets.

I believe that the only reason 387s are on Heathrow Express services is that we don't have, and are not imminently to receive, class 332s. And with wires only as far as Heathrow Junction, there is nowhere for 345s to terminate. The odd classes are simply route/timetable fillers or place holders.

When they first came into service I’m pretty sure they terminated at Hayes & Harlington like how the ‘Western’ Class 387’s are going to.

they did terminate at hayes and harlington in the beginning, the 387's did terminate their as well when they were introduced. But due to the time period, the 387's were being introduced and they only did Hayes and Harlington to Paddington and back

Edit: The 387s make more sense considering the time period, considering its 2015 - 17. Wheras the 345 starting doing them from 2018 onwards

In 2017 the 387’s were trialled on a Paddington to Hayes Bay shuttle service. I can’t remember now if they took the path of the Greenford services from Paddington, which were cut back to West Ealing.
The Heathrow Connect services were operated by Class 360 units.
And HEX were still in the hands of the 332’s.

I do know from being a TRC in the Western Control at the time, we were very much encroaching on having too many trains and not enough railway. A complete nightmare when things went wrong and it only took a few minutes to end up with a queue of trains stood on each line, particularly east of Airport Junction.

They didn't go on the Greenford branch as the line wasn't electrified

We definitely need a 360 for Heathrow connect services

Probably still covered by the BAA situation, i.e. no licensing.

Yes I know that! The Class 387 Hayes shuttles took the place of the Greenford services to West Ealing with a 2 car Class 165 working West Ealing to Greenford and back.
