That's curious. 8 people have successfully downloaded the new version (2.1). I have just tested with Microsoft Edge, Vivaldi and Firefox and all three have allowed me to download the file. It is a ZIP file, just like the scenarios but obviously a larger file. The only thing I can think is that your Anti-Virus may be blocking things, although I can think of no reason for it to do so. If you could confirm the exact message (a screen shot would be brilliant) and which AV software you are using I'll gladly look into it further. If you want privacy, by all means give me that info via the contact form on my support page rather than publicly here. I have to go out right now but can look at it later. Best regards, John
I was able to download the main file but not the others. The only information I have on why the other files won't download is what is shown below. I wonder if it might be the IP that's blocking them. Main route files You need to download the following files from this site: Llandudno Junction to Holyhead v2.1 (126 MB) (62 downloads ) LMS Striped Distant Signal (20 KB) (57 downloads ) Download is not allowed for this file type. Animated Overhead Cranes by Kevin McGowan (128 KB) (31 downloads ) Download is not allowed for this file type. Legless Canopy v1 (69 KB) (22 downloads ) Download is not allowed for this file type. The downloads below were added to list 19/1/25: Fix for UKTS_24035_HB_Water_Trough (3 KB) (20 downloads ) Download is not allowed for this file type. Access Doors (384 KB) (20 downloads ) Download is not allowed for this file type. Unless you are confident you have a full and up to date installation of John Yelland’s BR(LMR), BR(WR) and GWR signals, or have problems with your existing installation, please install the following file. If you are experiencing software crashes, please read the included readme.txt file about removing unofficial script modifications. BR(LMR), BR(WR) & GWR signals by John Yelland (7 MB) (27 downloads ) Download is not allowed for this file type.
Thanks for the update and info - I now understand what the problem is, but finding the solution is proving a challenge! I have made some small changes, please let me know whether or not this continues to affect anybody previously experiencing this. If not, there are a couple of other things I can try. John
Hi John I am still getting the " Download is not allowed for this file type." message when trying to download. It looks to be everything on the site except the scenarios . Keith
Good morning. As some may have noticed, I closed my site overnight, having decided the existing download feature could not be made to work for all - or so it seems. I have replaced it with completely different system which is certainly working fine for me - I hope it now works for everybody. All downloads now have a green Download button - if you don't see that please refresh the page concerned. The pages need a little bit of further tidying up but should now work. No, I haven't been up all night doing this (not quite!), but had to upload all the files afresh. John
I am downloading the route files just fine. Is it possibly a firewall issue? EDIT: Never mind. There was a bunch of replying that I hadn't seen at the bottom of page 1. LOL Happy to see more updates.
I almost purchased the Crewe - Holyhead in the last sale but forgot until it was too late But as it is now £2.49 it would be silly not to.
