Not here to really talk about bugs perse but what are folks #1 immersion breakers in TSW? Mine hands down, always comes back to the cooling fans on top of locos. Among anything else that could be wrong with the route my mind always comes back to the non-moving cooling fans. It's just too uncanny.
Arriving into a large station and being held up for minutes at the entrance signal, because there is one train in the entire station occupying the exact same platform I am routed to. Passengers going to and from depot.
My top pick would be most trains having no engine room, though some other things include: Brake hoses, jumper cables, etc magically connecting themselves AI trains not having physics, for example no suspension when in conductor mode No cold starts in timetable mode, diesel trains left running in depots, etc Some trains not having exterior components animated, such as third rail shoes, brakes, etc
For me, its passengers being where they shouldn't be. When driving ECS stock, passengers shouldn't be on it. That directly contravenes railway rules as passengers should be in passenger only areas.
My (not exhaustive) list of immersion killers: - Inability to set tail lamps on (most) rolling stock - No cold starts - Non functioning cab equipment (GSM-R) - Headlights not visible in distance on approaching trains - AI trains that stop so close to a signal it would be out of sight of the driver. Then accelerating away from signal 5 times faster than a player can. - Depots full of locos with engines running (surely that doesn’t help game performance) - Passengers on board empty stock runs
In addition to point 1, buffers going through each other - for example happens on WSR with the 47 and coaches.
The TSW signature stutters which seem to be in the core ready to impact any route, to any degree, at any point.
Large/busy stations being empty and quiet. With the Mildmay Line I spent 20 minutes at Stratford and trains were constant, while stuttery at times it was a a joy to see and just like how Stratford is. Birmingham New Street or Manchester Piccadilly are real immersion killers for me.
