Me honestly think it’s gonna be something from the 90’s.
Or it could be modern day

If it would be modern day
    Possibly:
wcml (maybe London Euston to Milton Keynes)
One of the London Underground sub surface lines
    London overground
    Brighton Main Line (bml)
But I’m not getting my hopes up about it being modern.

    What do you think?

They could try to do something like the North London lines with the possibility to exchange between 3rd rail and overhead systems. :)

All wrong. Newport to Bristol Parkway, with Freightliner class 66, Arriva class 175, plus GWR HST and 166 (as a 175 substitute) services for owners of the GWE DLC.

I'd really like to see something modern, with a mix of an EMU/DMU plus something rapid. Like a more up to date GWE. Would be happy with a few cargo routes too if possible, even if it re-used the 66!

A WCML with a Pendolino would be awesome, or something like the WM Trains route I proposed with a good mix of locos and scenery. If you don't know an area, it's nice to have landmarks or changes between town and countryside to get a quick grasp of things. I definitely don't want another dated one in the style of NTP where everything's grubby and rubbish, and I don't think I can take any more 25mph heritage!

Could be Edinburgh to Glasgow via Falkirk High or Cumbernauld with Class 385 EMU Scotrail.

With 4 miles of that in a tunnel, with another point of white light that gets bigger, then suddenly smaller, then bigger again. Take my money DTG!

Hmm, yeah... the tunnel... forgot about that. Maybe rather Chester to Crewe. Still the full 30-ish kilometers, but no tunnel... and no stations in between either, yay! Once again less work to do!

Wrexham General to Wrexham Central. A whole minute of mesmerising fun! :D

    Jokes aside:

    • I hope it's the Tyne Valley line circa 2018/9
    • I think it'll be something like York-Hull circa 1984
    • I wish it would be the T&W Metro circa... anything :D

A lot of people ask for the Underground routes. That wouldn’t interest me at all but that’s just my personal preference.

I quite like the tunnel stations bit in Rapid Transit for a few stations, but I'm not sure I would want that for the whole route.

Totally agree. I think an underground route with how the external free camera behaves in tunnels would be a bad idea. They would have to fix all the tunnel issues before adding a route like that. Plus there ain't much to look at in a tunnel other than the endless void.

Quite like to see Hull to Scarborough. 40-odd miles with a mixture of double and single track, some of which is not continuously welded so plenty of clicketty-clack goodness. Very pretty, undulating scenery with a contrast between quaint country stations and impressive termini. Plus Hull to Scarborough is a complete service. The only drawback though is that there's no freight as far as i'm aware. Could maybe have engineering/maintainance trains.

From a geographical perspective, we've had two northern England DLCs, there's also a Londoncentric GWE and south west England WSR, so I'd like to see a Scottish or Welsh DLC. Failing that, something in Devon/Cornwall or London to Brighton.

I think next route should be a heavy industry where raw materials come from main line and local personnel will deliver them to different departments.Again prepared goods from different departments may be assembled to transport to main line. And yes this should be from contemporary era. All other routes of UK in TSW are bygone time except GWR.

I’d like to see the Brighton Main Line come to TSW next, set around 2010 too. If not that, a Welsh/English route, Cardiff-Bristol Parkway or similar.

The real question is, what will be the next route after this upcoming one. Will it be UK US, another German route, or could it be something new ( hopefully Brazilian or Australian freight).

I would love too see a route set in the 90s Network South-East themed.
When old slam-door trains are around and the Networkers are first introduced (class 365,465,466)
The route could be commutor lines out of
    London Victoria, Waterloo etc.

But rapid transit had no tunnel problems

And in Ts2020 they made District line Wimbledon to Edgware Road(that has tunnels)

    Yea sorry

Well then they could do the overground at least set in 2010 because 378’s were replacing 313’s
So then you get 2 locos

Or a 2019 December timetable GWE
Because when they do the December timetable in real life class 345’s will go to Reading. And GWR is gonna take over HEX (Heathrow Express)

They have done the North London Lines, GOBLIN and the South London Network in TSx so that is feasible IF they can get TFL licensing for it

Would love to drive the Jubilee line, 22.5 miles, 27 stations. Under and overground through the heart of London.

I believe the word "now" is relevant in this. Make it in the eighties or nineties and wouldn't be a problem. Even better make it during a stock transition period so you can get more stock over the same lines

  41. This would be perfect, love the 175, a Welsh route would be really nice.

In the nineties they were still automated (Even The Victoria Line) because London Underground started automating trains in the 70’s about with the 1967 stock
    upload_2019-10-9_10-1-35.png

But the central, northern and jubilee lines weren’t automated before The nineties

But the 1992 stock 1995 stock 1996 and 2009 stock I think has an emergency lever so they can manually operated when automation fails

Piccadilly to Crewe? Think they will go the electric route. Might even be a pre Virgin era route? Class 86, class 90 and a dvt? NorthStar 47 from Wsr could have its crosscountry swallow paint job.The 86 in intercity and railfreight liveries or the ews 66 with licensed containers for Trafford Park, Similar offer to rsn? DTG have previously stated that its quicker to simulate electrics. Perhaps a GWE update with wsr substitutions and dlc inbetween?

Id like that, but think its unlikely. What I mean is a loco dlc that would also see the route updated in terms of how the track, trains and scenery load in, making general improvements, adding the WSR stock to GWE.

The Eastern end of the District line is quite interesting given its mostly above ground.
Would be good with a nice D78 stock, even better if it was set in the 90s
Then maybe the LTS part into Fenchurch street as well, maybe extended to Grays with both routes: Via Dagenham Dock & Rainham or Via Upminster & Ockendon

BAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHA Yes mate! Spot on, although that’s too short, Ilford Depot - just enough to fit in some yard work at Stratford, for make believe cross country yard deliveries.

No in all seriousness I don’t have any hopes for a UK route tbh. If the last few are anything to go by, you spend half a day trying to get up to line speed on NTP before you hit the red signal or buffers at either end

Matt just confirmed the new route will have both, tracks AND trains. I guess that rules out the Portsmouth to Ryde ferry someone suggested a while back.
