Hello, today i'm propsing this route as TSW is currently lacking Swiss InterCity routes and this one of the best options because it has varied gameplay and a lot of layering opportunites for owners of other DLCs.

The route is 90 km long and has 27 stations. With services ranging from 10 minutes to over an hour and every type of service with regional, InterCity, highspeed and freight, it has something for everyone. It has layers for the TGV Duplex from LGV Méditeranné and the ICE 1 from Kassel - Würtzburg which together have 28 services (10 for the TGV and 18 for the ICE 1). As a lot of German freight traffic transit through Basel to go to the Gotthard and Lötschberg routes to Italy, owners of German freight rolling stock would have the opportunity to play on this route. For these reasons i think this is the best route to introduce Swiss InterCity trains to TSW. On the route there are also two notable tunnels: the Heitersbergtunnel which is 5 km long and the Hauenstein base tunnel which is 8 km long, if we remove this from scenery, the route is only 77 km which facilitates developpment.

    Rolling stock
The main train featured in this route would be the iconic Re 460. Coupled with the refurbished IC2000 coaches, it hauls both InterCity and InterRegio trains.

The IC2000 coaches exists in 5 variants:
    - 2nd class
    - 1st class
    - Cab car
    - Restaurant car (used on IC services)
    - Bistro car (used on IR services)

The route could also include the RABe 523 from Luzern - Sursee but i would prefer if it was a layer and include a Zürich S-Bahn train instead such as the RABe 511 or DPZ trainsets.

    Conclusion
Zürich - Basel is one of the busiest railway corridor in Switzerland. With its varied gameplay and layering opportunities for owners of other DLCs, it's probably one of the best options to introduce the iconic Re 460 and Swiss InterCity traffic to TSW.
    Thank you for reading.

Much as I'd love this living in Zürich. SBB won't give out licences anymore so until that changes, no more Swiss routes, except for maybe some more RhB.

As stated above, waste of time posting as SBB will not license any more of their routes or train operations.

Unfortunately, that's the way it is with SBB, and there's probably nothing we can do about it at the moment.

But there are many routes that are operated by BLS.
And they are more likely to grant a licence to build a route.
