Hi, I can complete the scenario up until I reach Watford Junction and I have to close down the cab at one end and move to the opposite end of the train. When I reach the opposite end, I'm told to "Set the throttle/brake lever to P1", but the objective never completes, even when the train is moving. I've tried three times to complete this scenario now and it's happened every time. Can anyone help?
In the second-to-last scenario of the 350, during the snowy night journey to Watford Junction, the game should conclude after stopping on the siding. However, upon arriving at Watford Junction, the game remains stuck at the prompt to move the power handle to position 1 and does not proceed to the next step. Even manually operating the train to enter the siding and stop does not complete the scenario. The latest update has been truly disappointing. It seems that the addition of new features has caused the original game to experience frequent bugs. I hope the development team takes this issue seriously. Thanks for your hard work.
Hi wes#2684 could you reach out to Dovetail Support with more specific details and examples, please? Please remember the name of the scenario and other important details.
Scenario Name. The point where the issue begins. This prompt about the power handle remains on the screen and does not disappear as the game progresses. Even after reaching the designated location according to the route map, the power handle prompt still remains, and the game cannot properly conclude.
I have created some images to showcase this issue. I hope they will be helpful for your next update and fix.
Thank you for helping us identify the issue. I can confirm that this issue has already been logged thanks to other players who reached out to us at Dovetail Support directly. It's been assigned for further investigation, but we do not have any further updates at this time. I've updated the thread name to help other players find this.
Yeah I posted this and submitted a bug report earlier in the week after a number of failed attempts, selfishly a bit glad to find out it isn't just me lol.
Exactly the same here… did exactly as the game wants but the objectiv doesn’t change Only difference: I’m on PS4
Hi all. Just to confirm this issue has already been logged, thanks to players who reach out to Dovetail Support directly. At this time we do not have any further updates to share.
I just encountered this and then found this thread. Can confirm that, also on PC/Steam, this bug occurs. The "set throttle to P1" task will not trigger.
I'm also having the same issue. This is my third attempt, but unfortunately cannot pass the throttle objective.
Tried this today - still happening. Even tried going back to the original cab and reversing it in, no beans. Hey DTG, could you look at the option of being able to skip an an objective in the schedules list? Anything that is buggy, but non-consequential like this, could then be skipped and we can carry on. Just a though.
A bug as this must be detected executing some kind of automated testing (scripting) JUST BEFORE DELIVERING the software to customers. Fix the bug. Retest. Automated testing (scripting). No severe bug. Delivering. That's simply industry standard! Okay It's not a financial service system - here a bug might lead to servere loss of money, it's only a game, but the repair should have a high priority. Kindly listen to the feedback of your customers - the biggest asset your company has. The best thing of course see above. Avoid delivering of severe bugs to customers as stated above. .
A think a found solution set PCB to max brake and set reverser to reverse and aply PCB to p-1. Is fix to me. PC/STEAM
There are a lot of red signals playing the trains as presented by Dovetail on this line/DLC. Red signal problem seems to be back at least for this DLC. It is a big problem as around 10% of the trains are defect. Quick solution would be to use another track - drive around and do not wait until infinity. Thus just want happens in real life. Why does this come back again. There was a lot of advertisement to be better in the future. And now the future is red again. Defect trains blockin a complete station. London Eusten and also minor station. Again: Testing is everything. This can only work by automatization!
I did the scenario again and this time it didn't work. I did some testing and I think the bug is inconsistent. Sometimes it works fine or I have to press several buttons to make it work, even to open doors or in another cabin. There's something wrong with "scrip".
Yeah why does it take over a month to fix a scripting issue? I can't finish this scenario and I can't the get achievement for doing 5 scenarios because not even redoing them counts towards it.
Its been almost a couple of months since this started, please fix! Its really disappointing that I paid for a game that I cannot complete.
I've just run into this on PS5 too. It's a shambles to have something as stupid as this mean almost an hour of play can never be 'completed'. It's getting to the point where we need to search for every service or scenario we play to see which of the many glitches we're likely to run into. I've just dropped back into TSW after an extended break, since I've completed a few other games I was playing, and I'm once again now wondering why I bothered as clearly nothing has changed. No good here. I tried saving and coming back in, and that doesn't work either. Is it because the HUD says "P1" and the controller says "P-1" - I hope not, because if that's the reason, you really need better coders!
Still broken. PC/steam. All workarounds listed above don’t work either. Crazy how it’s been months and something this simple hasn’t been fixed yet.
