    Dear Dovetail/3rd party devs,

A thing that I think is lacking in the Tsw collection of routes and add ons is a first generation alternating current electric multiple unit. I’m talking about units like the class 302, 305, 306, 310, 312.

Class 302's and a class 310 in the sheds

These units would be a very unique unit to drive as these units use tech such as:

    -Westinghouse Electro pneumatic EP brakes

-Some units use a strange power controller/driver’s safety device mix witch I think looks cool

-Camshaft power selector (using resistor bank)

-And even this funky guard’s buzzer/intercom/public address system

Interior cab view of the class 302 (to show the ep brake handle and the power controller)

A route that has a lot of old ac emu’s, if you can guess by the name of this forum is the London tilbury & Southend, London Fenchurch Street to Shoeburyness Via Laindon and Tilbury town. This route that is not too long but not too short (about a 50 minuets fast service), good stopping services and a great mix of freight services (plus parcels if based before 1981/82). This route has a good amount of stops for its length, thus making it a good outer suburban route. As a plus, unlike some other routes, its not just one straight line, its like a network of tracks (like a diamond with two branches coming off the left and right.

Note: image may not be time period accurate.

Anyways, I just think that this is something lacking and it wouldn’t be too bad to have another route from the late 70’s/early 80’s.

Would love to see this in JT kinda late 80s era with mix of BR Blue / NSE. I'd say 305 and 310 would be the best bet on EMUs as those can also be used on other 80s, 90s and early 00s routes around the North West and Midlands too.

Modern day would allow for other stock to layer, but then we'd miss out on the chance for older electric stock.

    I'll take it.

My point why I mentioned the 80’s. And there are many layers possible for freight stock, sutch as most of the diesels in game from the 80’s

Id like to add again to my original post, if it where based in the 90's (1997) you would also get the class 317 units as those were borrowed from the ecml at the time.

also by that time at the electric depot at east ham (I think) had a new depot protection system.
