I agree that opening windows and doors should make the sound louder than what it is now with the 1020.

guys, you who have this route, does the old OBB logo appear as a usable decal in the Livery editor? I mean, I am thinking of buying this route, but if this decal is included to use, this might be the final reason I buy this lol :D

Hello. There are very few keyboard commands to control the reset and thrust release functions. It would also be nice to add a command to release the brakes.

I got a query of the headlights, whether its on 1020 or 111, it is barely to see anything clearly during night services. Is that an issue happened in the past time of real life?

Yeah, that's what I was reporting earlier. It would be nice to have at least a key binding for the schnell-aus... and for the motor switch too... even if they were fixed, non-adjustable in the menu.

This has a keybind. It's the keys that control dynamic/electric brakes on other locomotives.

Since nobody is replying to you (I recall you posting this in another thread aswell), I hope this helps:

Yes, most of older trains were not equipped with high beams.

damn, thats great :D ... you cant possibly imagine how many curse words I spewed out when trying to recreate that one in livery editor, and even more so when I had to repeat the process in another livery, since you cant transfer complex shapes in between lol... well, next sale it is mine... I have just shelled out some cha chings for F59PHR :)

    Stupid question. For reasons.

Do the 365 and 103 layer on MITT on Gen8? In the add-on compatibility guide, it says you get the full experience. Do not see them in the selection menu though. Are they AI only (which would technically not be the "full" experience)? Are they missing altogether?

On PS5 they are there as well. So I was just wondering about Gen8.

Sorry i misiunderstood. Have you tried looking at the layer toggle screen maybe?

On PC the layers are called "Niddertalbahn BR 365" and "BR 103"

Thank you! Those layers are not there. The layers available are (in German) "Güter" (freight), "Fernzüge" (long-distance trains), and "Landeck Dienste" (Landeck services).

I have Niddertalbahn and Left Rhine installed, of course.

    This is really strange.

I mean, if DTG just said "look, old chap, your PS4 is trash and the pocket calculators at DTG headquarters have more power than it, so we dumped the 103 and 365", I totally get it. More power to you. But then they should not write about giving Gen8 the "full experience".

They didn't give the full experience, at least by cutting out the dioramas of the mountains (on Gen8)

Funnily enough, the Landeck services layer is now gone as well.

OK, time to do something different. No more love for TSW today.

I agree, the communications from DTG has been really bad about this.

I still don't understand why they don't just give ALL platforms the ability to activate ALL layers, and just make them on by default for PC/Gen 9 and off by default for Gen 8 (and maybe even add a "this may negatively affect performance disclaimer" or something).....wasn't that the entire point of having a layer toggle in the first place?

The platforms do not allow releasing stuff that potentially does not work and maybe causes crashes. So they cannot do that and also I think they need to manage expectations.

Even if they are disabled by default? That's just silly imo.

Not saying you're wrong, but how do the platforms like them just straight up lying and saying things like "the full experience", when clearly it's not at all?

Also why then did DTG spend all that time developing a feature that's basically pointless?

I swear i'll never understand some of their decisions in a thousand years lol

I do not try to understand it. It's not my business, just what DTG told us some time ago in a live stream. It was not very recently. My feeling is that the different platforms create a lot of additional rules and conditions to publish anything. That sucks, but on the other hand it is abou 65-70% of the DTG revenues, making it possible to create the content we can enjoy.

In the vicinity of Kranebitten station, I discovered a portal to the Niddeltalbahn route. Maybe this was already written about and I missed it, but it was unexpected for me) 20250314225257_1.jpg

As posted in the feedback thread, the 1020 is finally on a good sound level. Glad the update didn’t get stuck with DTG.

I must check it out, but currently my sole save game slot is occupied by a half complete 111 run and I keep getting distracted by the Tour de France 24 game, Snowrunner and trying to shift a heavy freight over Donner Pass in Run 8!

Do the tracks still not have the "3D" ballast effect that pretty much all other TSW routes have, except TSG's routes? Why is that? I mean it's a small things, but it gives such TSC vibes. Why isn't TSG using it?

Were the rheostatic brakes altered on the OBB 1020 in the update? Did the Motor 6 ammeter go up when rheostatic braking previously? None of the other motors ammeters appear to do anything in braking mode.

Both ammeters work, just the second (left) one is activated at low speeds.

Watching a video by Rail Relaxation from Innsbruck to Scharnitz, I think it would be awesome if there were a modern variant of this route as well as the old one, so you could have both worlds. The lay-out is already there of course, Innsbruck would surely need some extensive re-modelling, but otherwise it's mostly through the mountains, so development shouldn't take as long as a full-route. I would pay for that! Goes for more routes, too.

PS5 - Big thanks to TSG for fixing “circle button triggers Indusi Wachsam everytime I want just press SIFA, not only when indusi needs to be acknowledged” in latest update. Pretty big deal for PS5 players as it is kinda annoying to hear indusi wachsam buzzer every 30 seconds I press SIFA.

Its a quirk of the wiring on the 1020, the excitation for the motor fields is taken through one of the motor contactors, the ammeters for each of the motors are taken just before the contactors and so when the electric brake is activated one of the motors ammeters reads a value as well.

    An update...

I recently upgraded my processor to the Ryzen 5 5600x, and it really improved performance on this route and the others. Basically, I gained an average of 20 FPS. On this route specifically, I can now run at over 35-40 fps, which is already a good start.

In the future, I plan to get a processor that is a little more powerful than the current one

Get rid of SMT and you'll gain another 20 frames.

I'm not so used to german safety systems and I don't know how to acknowledge Indusi. Is there a specific button on the controller? I'm on Xbox Series X. Thanks!

Had another quick drive on this route yesterday, the short Journey run on an evening service from GP to Mittenwald with the 111. Once again have to say, this route is something else - there is a special magic about the whole experience.

I must say, there is a problem with Indusi, or rather with the way Indusi interacts with the game core. It seems there are functions which are looking for "PZB" by name and "Indusi" doesn't check the box- so, for example, you get no credit for driving with safety systems on (the game annoyingly keeps prompting you to turn on PZB), and you get no magnet notifications.

There was a question in the (Awesome TSW service mode run' thread...
There are some timetable services which have a BR111 on the front and a 1020 at the back.
Is there an option to 'sycnchronize' these 2 locomotives?
When you run these services in snow you cannot get up the mountain to Seefeld

Nope, the 1020 is not equipped for multi-unit control. Additionally, there's the generation gap... It's like a 14-year-old trying to talk to a 49-year-old ;)

Yep, these are basically difficulty level "extreme" when done in snow or heavy rain... requires perfect use of throttle, sand, and a good deal of carefully planning ahead. Made my hair a little more grey too :)
