Just watched the clip and rather than the Electrostar it reminded me of one of the DB horns.

Well at least it looks as if the station models are decent, unlike Cardiff Central where they couldn’t even apply a flat texture to show the correct frontage!

Yes, I watched the cab ride and it certainly looks very flat and straight. Reminds me of some UK routes like ECML etc.

Which is why the price hike is surprising. If it's because of the 2nd loco that's rather unfair. Even at the standard price, we should be getting at least 2 new locos per route.

That $50 red line is still holding my wallet hostage.

We'll see how the previews play.

 

Will be the same on XB also, as I do play on it a fair bit, it's a shame they can't or will not get mods working on consoles.

 

When do you think was the last time we got two completely new locos with a route? And that at standard price? It's just not realistic.

Yes, i'm not german, nor live in berlin or Germany in general (I'm dutch and i live in our kolonisatie land). But i've been in berlin and on those trains. They're awesome. The door sounds are the same as the Rotterdam Metro and the engine sounds are unique.. ))

 

Up to and including Rush Hour I believe. Not so long ago. We seem to have surrendered to " shrinkflation " in the last couple of years. Less content ( fewer assets, shorter routes ) along with prices creeping up.

Most notable difference is that DTG didn't use the two-tone horn in the video. However, that doesn't mean it doesn't have a two-tone horn. I'm not reassured, but lets wait for the preview stream.

 

Thankfully during the spring sale. Then we can see how visible content is, that we didn't bought.

Rush hour didn't have any new train at all, only a new kind of Electrostar (387), modified F40PH and return of ACS-64. I think only the oldest routes like GWE and NTP had more than one new loco included.

 

In the beginning, routes inclused lots of locos- but DTG was trying to develop a rolling stock base (also, they may have underestimated the time (= money) it takes to build a loco.

Anyway, SPG came with three, GWE came with three, WSR came with two, NTP came with three, RSN came with two and a half. But we haven't seen a route with more than one new loco since those days, unless you count the NID 365 as "new."

Will this route get one or more hints about the next Dutch route, or is that something only Train Sim Germany does by mailboxes? Seeing the numbers of views and likes/hearts, I expect a successor Dutch route to come.

 

I don't really believe DTG really does that actually.

For now though, let's be sensible and take things one step at a time.
Let's first see how well this route does, and enjoy it, and after that, we'll wait and see if there's going to be any more announcements for anything Dutch.

Anything beyond that is just speculation at this point.

Though, I will say, I do think it's likely we'll see probably at least 1 or 2 more Dutch routes, even if only based on the fact that it makes sense that if they go through the trouble of doing all that research on the Netherlands, creating and implementing tons of basic assets and systems to make it work, they'd probably want to put all that work to good use a few times for the sake of efficiency.

Well I'm actually the original developer of this system.

This device in the SNG we call the ETD (Electronic Timetable Display).
It will support multiple applications, depending on the operation mode of the cab.
If the cab is operated it will have the TimTim application available and shown as default.
If the cab is not operated it will show the MSS (Manual Station Selector) application.

This is shown in the screenshot.

The MSS application can also always be selected from the menu.

The real MSS also supports multiple rolling stock units by adding an extra box with its number.
Also the black and blue squares have a meaning, this doesn't seem to be implemented.

Black -> current cab
Blue -> cab is operated

Black/Blue diagional striped -> current cab is operated.
