Xbox Series S Stuck On The Route Map In Tsw5

So hi I was playing tsw5 isle of wight 2022 when I looked into the route map I did that a couple of imes but this time I looked into the map and when I pressed the B button on the Xbox console it wasn't doing anything, so I was stuck there, I couldn't even move or exit, although I was hearing train sounds at the background, for some reason I was able to enable photo mode and it kept showing on the map, at this point I had to crash my train because I was stuck and luckily it took me out of the map, this has even happened in almost every route

 

Similar thing happened to me on IOW 2022 as well - I play on PC but often use a Xbox Gamepad. On PC the workaround is just to switch to mouse control and exit the route-map screen manually. Honestly, I'm not sure if a mouse & keyboard works if you are actually playing on console, but plugging in a mouse might be worth a try if it happens again

 

I found that toggling off the lables for the stations etc, worked for me.

 

Get yourself a Wireless Keyboard, or if you have one, I use a wired one with my XB, and does give more options within the game that you may not and do not have with a controller, like activating and deactivating the Safety system, and with the AC400CW freight loco, the keyboard key bindings to activate/deactivate the alerter is with Key bindings only. Enter + Shift. This works with just about every loco in-game. I have yet to try a mouse.
