This probally won't ever get read but, i am very annyoed that the past 3 US routes have been all passenger. Now im not trying to complain but, i think that getting a couple new US freight routes would be nice as a change of scenery from all the passenger routes. For example, i feel like a good route would be the CSX Willard Sub through the famous Iron Triangle. Another good route could be a Section of the NS Chicago Line, maybe Toledo to Elkhart? Anyways my point is i just would like to see more US freight routes.
I would like to see freight routes as well, I too am getting sick of only having passenger-only routes (and ones I'm not interested in), it appears unlikely that we will get any freight-only routes in the foreseeable future but I think that that the New Haven–Springfield Line would be a good middle ground having both
I can't say I blame you. I'm sure High Iron might come out with something. Although not a new route, we can certainly look forward to the ATSF gameplay pack coming out within the next few months.
Here are some of my US (also Canadian) freight route ideas (realistic ones, of course! Some of my route suggestions are way too long for TSW5; ie. BNSF/ATSF Seligman Sub). Most of these are TS Classic routes. -CSX or B&O Harpers Ferry Route -BNSF/UP or SP/ATSF Tehachapi Pass: Mojave-Bakersfield -PRR or Conrail (License needed) Horseshoe Curve -ATSF Raton Pass: Trinidad, CO-Raton, NM -D&RGW Soldier Summit: Helper-Provo -CN Yellowhead Pass: Jasper-Valemount -UP Granger Heartland: Kansas City-Topeka, KS
Well the official line from DTG that freight is on hiatus because the US railroads no longer wish to co-operate for access and research doesn't seem likely to change.
