Hello. I have bought the DB BR 247 DLC, and since i dont have its route yet I wanted to play around with it on Kobelnz - Frankfurt. However i cant find it anywhwre in the list of trains in the scenario editor, nor any other trains i need
What i mean (the DB 247 + ir does not do anythint, i choose it when it was shown on screen and now its gone)
Did you buy it from Steam or direct from RSSLO? If you want to use it in the scenario editor you will need to select it as an asset to load. Use the Object Set Filter to set it for inclusion. The Object Set Filter is the cube with an orange triangle in your screen shots. Alternatively try using it in Quick Drive.
I assume you own the dependancy for this loco, which according to Steam your loco requires DLC Train Simulator: Salzburg - Mühldorf Route Add-On? You will also need to have the dependancies and loco ticked in the Scenerio Editior list of assets list for the loco to appear. (normally left hand side of screen, blue square with a small orange triangle)
Wrong. The loco comes with 5 Scenarios for the Salzburg - Muhldorf Route. You don't need the route to use the loco elsewhere.
Clicking on the Object Set Filter (the cube with an orange triangle) should open a selection box on the upper right hand corner. If it doesn't, there must be something wrong with your editor installation.
When you click on the Blue Box with the small Orange arrow a list appears on the opposite side of the screen You need to use go down the list to RSSLO then tick BR247 The engine will now appear in the list on the left side and you can place it on the track Don't forget a Driver Icon and place it on the loco otherwise you will not be able to drive it.
I am correct! Steam clearly states that you require the route DLC for the loco to work! Petty posts that distract from the original posters resolving there issues are not helpful, which is what Im sure we are all trying to help with.
I would have thought that the base assets are still available to use. The provided scenarios would be orphaned. I would also expect the assets to be made available under the RSSLO asset folder. I usually buy direct from RSSLO to cut out the middle man. Assets I have purchased via Steam in the past have shown in the RSSLO folder. I think Peter is correct. The disclaimer here is to that a new user who sees scenarios is forwarded that they may not be able to use the assets as expected. They were purchased so must reside somewhere on the pc. It may or may not be available under Quick Drive, however I would expect Locoswap, TSTools and the editor to be able to see these assets and manually configure to use.
You believe the information on the Steam Website - which is wrong. It implies that the loco won't work without the route - it just means that if you wish to play the 5 scenarios you need the route. If you look at the picture I posted you can see the loco on the Test Track - I don't own the Salzburg - Muhldorf Route.
Unless you actually want the route then I would not bother - you can use the BR 247 on any European Route.
