The use of the PZB is not easy. Would it be possible to make a tutorial or scenario to learn to use it. Sure there is a description in the manual. But it would be more accessible for the player to learn it by doing. And a tutorial for the modern American safety system would be very nice too.

I agree I would like too see a tutorial for PZB I agree that it is not easy to learn, it be helpful to have something to go through first and learn it properly.

It is not so difficult, but you must refrain from giving any meaning to the names the Germans gave to the indicators used. This is just deterring blabla you should ignore. I think the summary in the manual is quite good and you just need to turn it on and try it some time. In the beginning you will make mistakes, but after a few drives you will learn.

Thanks for helping me understand why I do not use Pzb. As my grandmother used to say, "Too soon we get too old, too late too smart."

I don't use PZB on TSW or TS2020
LZB is good on a few trains that work without PZB
    TVM430 is good
But I will stick with AWS as it's an easy system which I had 28 years of in real life

I use the PZB system in train sim wolrd 3 and it's very realistic.
However I don't understand why the Zwangsbremsung always goes off when I go over the 500Hz magnet even though I'm going under 65km/h. It's very annoying because it ruins my stops when I enter the train stations and for that I lose a few AP points stupidly.
Can you tell me how I can fix it ?
    Thanks

Maybe you released from the 1000Hz monitoring beforehand? When the yellow 1000Hz swatch turns off, you can use PZB Release to stop the monitoring, but you may only do so if there's no 500Hz magnet coming up. If you release and then go past a 500Hz, you'll get an instant Zwangsbremsung.

Another possibility would be not braking fast enough: you can go past the 500Hz at 65km/h but have to quickly slow down to 45km/h, otherwise Zwangsbremsung. And that's only for Zugart O – if you drive a heavier train/freight, you'll often be in Zugart U or M (where the blue 55 or 70 swatches light up instead of the 85 one), for these different speed limits apply. You must not go past a 500Hz at 65km/h for example.

A 1000Hz monitoring will be active for 1250m. After 700m you can release, this will end the 85km/h speed limitation but the monitoring function still goes on in the background for the remaining distance and triggers an emergency braking if you reach an active 500Hz. So you must only release if there's no 500Hz within the next 550m (1250m - 700m). Just to specify what 500Hz coming up means :)

Safety systems is the main thing that TSW fails miserably on as it's the main part of driving a train that we should have been getting tutorials on since the first TSW launched about 6 years ago. The only safety systems we've had any in-game tutorials for is LZB in the 403/6 and ECTS in the RABe 523

Funny enough I have only really recently took a deep interest in PZB and LZB and watched a few YouTube videos. Been playing the German routes recently and actually really really enjoying the routes with the full systems turned on. Once you mastered it it all makes sense. Stick at it it’s certainly rewarding when you do a full run and arrive on time.
