Who, what, where, when, and the why are all dependent on the further info provided.

I haven’t figured it out yet, but this also happens to me, but only at the end of the route. Usually around the first or second yellow signal before the red. I’ve never had it happen in the middle of the route. But usually if a train is ahead of me I wait until I get a green signal before proceeding so I don’t pass yellow signals until the end. It’s almost like a restricted aspect is tripping the ACSES/ATC to stop or slow the train, but this route doesn’t have ACSES/ATC. You can just toggle the Cab Signal fuse off and on to reset it and release the brakes without stopping the train. It may trip the brakes again if you’re still close to the point it tripped initially, but I usually wait about half a mile or so to turn Cab Signals back on or just leave them off if I’m near the end. Did you pass yellow signals when your brakes tripped?

I've been getting this alot lately on San Bernardino line with the ES44C4, posted a message in the feedback thread for that route but got no response. Here is a video of it happening:

It seems to happen only when you exceed 24mph with the alerter on. I did quick tests with this loco on Cajon Pass and Antelope Valley and it didn't do it but they were just short tests and I had all green signals at the time, so maybe as you say it is related to yellow signals. I'm pretty sure it wasn't doing this back in december, its come about more recently.

Tried a full service on Cajon Pass with the ES44C4, a Victorville->Barstow run. It was fine the whole way while I had green signals but as soon as I passed the first yellow signal approaching Barstow I started getting the wierd brake applications. Had to shut the alerter off beyond that point.

There was an SD70ACe in my consist on the Cajon Pass service I played but I just retried the Kaiser Hauler service on San Bernardino Line and had no SD70s, all ES44s and it started braking as soon as I got up to 25mph.
