Hello evoryone, sorry for not been active on the forum for a while. Here is a picture of a Stadler Euro 6000 (the fully electric version of the EuroDual/Euro 9000) registered in France for DB Cargo France (91 87 0006 007-5 F-TRFSA)(picture from Railcolornews)
Hello people, this is the awsome Medway Euro6000, the "just" electric loco of the Stadler Euro family. This locomotives are just beautiful and such a beasts. C'mon DTG (or some 3third party team (rsslo?!) ) gives us this loco please, specially the Euro 9000!
Hello everyone, I wish you a happy and healthy New Year and the arrival of the Stadler Euro9000 in TSW5.
Hello everyone, sorry for this long period of absence on the forum. I was thinking of a solution to have the Eurodual/Euro9000 set up in TSW5, it wouldn't be bad to have it in an operator pack that would include several locomotives used by one operator (for example a Rail Force One pack, ...). Ideally, this pack should be an “Expert” pack. The only problem is obtaining a license for the company.
and EuroDual 9000 would also be extra complex cos it has dual mode capabilities for traction, and I believe it also has multiple system capabilities for various countries, aka power systems and safety systems... so that would be much harder to do than Expert 101, since you would have to simulate diesel and electric shenanigans, plus everything else
Great suggestion, but sadly, you've confused the Euro 9000 and the EuroDual. These are two separate locomotives, even though they are very similar. The EuroDual was the first locomotive of this family and is only able to run under 15kV and 25kV, as well as diesel power. It's also weaker than the Euro 9000 with "only" 7000kN of force. In the pictures you've included, only the first one is a Euro 9000 (BR 2019). The rest are EuroDual (BR 2159). No they have not. Their max. speed is 120km/h, both the EuroDual and Euro 9000. There are variants of the EuroDual family that are capable of 160/200 km/h. They can't be used for passenger services as they don't have door controls or support for ETB, ep/NBÜ or FIS. Again, there are variants of the family that are capable of hauling passenger services. As the Euro 9000 doesn't have LZB it doesn't run on Kassel-Würzburg. Freight trains on KWG need to be equipped with LZB, as the signals are placed so far apart that the train would block multiple slots on the line. Also, the Euro 9000 is often used to haul very heavy trains, which aren't allowed on KWG. For more details, see here: Stadler Euro 9000 - Expert
I know these locomotives are different, but I use the name EuroDual because I think it speaks to more people. Also, even if they are different locomotives with different power ratings, the technical base (chassis, bogies, cabs, etc.) is very similar between the EuroDual, Euro4001, Euro6000 and Euro9000. In terms of diesel power, the EuroDual is powered by a Caterpillar C175-16 engine (3000 kW), while the Euro9000 is equipped with 2 Caterpillar CAT C32 engines (950 kW).
Hello everyone, as you know, the Zwolle-Groningen line has just been launched. I personally think it's excellent. As you can imagine, I'm a big fan of the Stadler Euro9000 and EuroDual. I think it would be great to do a DLC for this line with the Euro9000 Rail Force One, as it's a Dutch company. I know that the most complicated thing is to get the rights to Rail Force One but one can always hope !!! Photo from Stadler Rail
Hello everyone, as you know, Train Sim World 6 has just been announced. I hope we'll see either EuroDual or Euro9000 right from the start. I think it would be nice to have a new, modern freight locomotive, as the recycling of the br 185 is starting to get tiresome. Also, apart from the br 218, there are no “heavy” or modern German diesel locomotives (even if they are produced by a Swiss company in Spain). I hope my wish will finally come true.
This would work for 2026 routes and after. It's just not in service yet, so wouldn't work on any route currently in game.
I don't quite agree. Stadler EuroDuals have already been in use for several years by a number of companies, mainly in Germany, but also in Sweden and Norway. There are fewer Euro9000s, but they are also in use. Companies using EuroDual or Euro9000 include: Captrain in France and Germany (specific version of the EuroDual in France), DB, Flex Bahndienstleistungen, e.g.o.o., Rail Force One, On Rail, HLVE (which uses 2 versions of the EuroDual recognizable by differences in the driver's cabs), HSL Logistik, RTB Cargo, BBL Logistik, ...
The question is does it go on TSW routes though. TSW has no routes in Sweden or Norway. France only has 1 route for just the TGV. I don't think it works on the Dutch or Swiss routes. For the UK, the 99 won't be in service until next year probably. So that leaves only...Germany perhaps? Austria maybe? To make it a good suggestion, you'd have to suggest where it would be usable in game. So, specifically what routes would it layer onto? Or better yet... what upcoming route or suggested route could be created to showcase it? I've stated before it'd be nice for what it is (dual mode) However, to be created it has to be sold for a purpose in game. If you can't use it in game, then it's pointless.
As already mentioned, the Stadler Euro9000 is suitable for use in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Italy, Belgium and the Netherlands. This means that this locomotive can be found on all modern German and Austrian lines, as well as on the Swolle-Groningen line and the S-Bahn Zentralschweiz line. This locomotive is therefore compatible with a wide range of DLCs. Ideally, we'd like to have it with a new line (if possible in Belgium or Italy, to have a new country). EuroDual, on the other hand, is confined to certain countries (Germany, France, Sweden, Norway), so the ideal would be to have a pack with Euro9000 on a new line (if possible with a mix of national signalling and ETCS operation).
