Just this morning I thought exactly the same! Doesn't have to be single minutes for me, but an increment of 10 minutes would already be of great help.
And the other one from me, if not already mentioned. Last night I decided to quickly do the ATB Tutorial on the Dutch route. And yes, guess what, when I returned to the game proper it had switched the coloured track stop markers back on. In the name of god, Dovetail I switched these off in options because I don’t want them and don’t need them. Bad enough having to do it with the Training Centre runs but not every other tutorial in the game, too. Don’t presume to switch them back on because of some arrogance assuming I need my hand holding because I’m doing a very specific safety system tutorial.
A lack of ambition - a lot of short routes with samey/recycled traction alongside poor timetables. "Half a job is good enough" - buggy releases that may or may not receive patches in a timely manner. There is a real over-promise/under-deliver vibe that is frustrating and annoying. As a PC player, TSW is rapidly apporaching TSC levels of requiring a myriad of third-party files to make it work better and that just makes it a pain to keep on top of. I last played in early Dec and since the initial excitement of WCMLoS went I haven't felt the pull to play again. Next time I want to drive a virtual train it's much more likely I'll fire up SimRail.
bugs never getting fixed specific trains cant come into the game because the TOCs and all developers (expect Just Trains i guess) doesnt like old trains to be represented because they suck constant routes getting cut at such unreasonable places as prices increases is so unforgivable and there is no excuse behind lack of time. Also Rivet. Rivet annoys me. Also the fanboy that keeps encouraging the developers to do bad practices as what i mentioned before. And that is why TSC is much better.
It takes a while on PS5. I would like to know, does it take longer the more routes and locos you download?
Yes it does. When I installed TSW5 and the DLC routes were not yet enabled it started up like you would expect a PS5 game to boot up: fast. After installing the DLC (I have a lot of DLC) it takes forever to start a game. Now I refrain from buying new routes because it will take even longer to play them. I could not resist buying Zwolle - Groningen but luckily that route was worth looking at a loading screen like forever.
God yeah, this really bugs me. I absolutely get it for those new to the game or unfamiliar with the layout of cabs, but if we've switched them off they should remain switched off by default.
Playing Tees Valley now - when you have to stop heavy-as-hell freight train PRECISELY at the destination market. Just stop 1 yard/meter before it and you'll have to start the whole train moving again to pass this one goddamn yard/meter.
They are still doing that now, despite promises they weren't going to. Scenario on the Dutch route has the objective marker sat on the buffers at Groningen with zero tolerance on stopping distance. Had to put £5 in the swear box for that one... (£2 for f, £3 for c).
I don't know, but it should be outlawed asap. This makes me think about another annoying thing - passenger load/unload time. Why do we have to wait for a predefined time until we can close the doors and departs when, in many cases, passengers have already embarked/disembarked the train we are driving? Many times I have closed it milisecunds before the predifined time has passed and departed --> then, on next station I had to opened the doors, close it, then open again for the objective to be passed
The swear box for this markers is a good idea actually, I need to make one, I'll quickly accumulate funds for next TSW (discounted) DLCs
Hope the roadmap is one april fool, who wants collectables as mandatory or you fail the service like a spad but for missing collectable
