Want to operate giant steam locomotives hauling heavy trains over the mountains? Then this will be a great route if made. Taking place during the late 1940s, this 170 KM (106 mile) route from Clifton Forge, Virginia to Thurmond, West Virginia operated some of the largest Steam locomotives the Chesapeake and Ohio railway operated. The main traffic on this line was coal, but general freight and passenger trains also ran this line. In my option being able to serve coal mines would be awesome. Potential locomotives: 2-8-4 Kanawah 4-8-4 Greenbriar 2-6-6-2 And of course, the mighty 2-6-6-6 Allegheny
Steam would be great to see, even more great if it’s North American, but I don’t think the devs would would bring it back.
Suggestion probably fails on two counts. DTG no longer doing steam for TSW. DTG no longer doing US freight routes for TSW.
