Then he should get 'Men at Work' on things "Down Under". It would be a sure-fire hit ;)

They might be able to do my local network, Adelaide Metro as it has been bought back by the government and our Premier would love the chance to market our state so more.

Would be neat but I don't think there would be much point unless the route could be extended all the way to Heathrow. I think it would work nicer bundled with a MML-South route (which could also come with the 8 car 700), and then stretch the limits of realism and layer the HSTs as the high-speed EMR services. I think the HSTs were around in 2021 when the 360s were running but not sure if they were the VP185s or MTUs.

There was a very brief overlap of only a couple of months when the ex-LNER HSTs were used at the same time as the 360s. It would be much more sensible to have a 222 because of this, but a DTG route with two new trains would cost £4,000,000.

I'm going in with low expectations as we a bit naff big season reveals around Christmas lol, It kinda killed the hype for me at the time. However a class 730 would perfect for the BCC line and also a great layer to add for the WCMLS.

This time I'm hoping we get more information on Manchester commuter if possible I'm super excited to see the gameplay for this add as it's two mainline route's in one I think it will amazing!

Well I'm aiming for something higher.

Just add a bit of invisible track in the sky and, "Voila", we can have Harold.
Come on DTG you know it makes sense ;)

Cool I wasn’t aware of that, a case of two great minds thinking the same thing. Just kidding.

But knowing what I do of Australian railways, then loads of English built locos went over there. A prime example of this is the HST that was completely rebuilt in to what became the much wider XPT. The amount of historical significance with ties to our own railway heritage.

Even some H373 that was built by the Vulcan Foundery Works would be well cool to see, as they could please so US fans too.
And then the Garretts, you we have to agree that’s a must. But that’s stream.

But thanks for letting me know that, I wasn’t aware.
Cheers, enjoy the rest of your weekend.

TBH, I was thinking that the UK core route for TSW6 could be Rail200 related seeing as it will most likely release in September which is also the Railway 200 anniversary month..

and issue is - how would DTG do a Railway200-themed DLC without including new steam?

If it they did announce the SVR, all to most of the money made from sales of the DLC could go to the SVR's survival fund

Exactly the timing is perfect for it. I don’t work for DTG, you could even go as far and call me a bum.

But sitting on my bum I thought if we here as community could recreate such things. Themed scenarios with livery’s done by users to celebrate the event together here as a community. Even the Big Meeting is a scenario that TrainGeek08 is trying to get set up.

Because I wouldn’t know what DTG are doing for the occasion. No one would, but I can at least try build that with what we have together.
Everyone here has a talent in one way or another.

By bring those people together we can ourselves make something we would like to see done by DTG.

IE this IMG_2647.jpeg IMG_2653.jpeg IMG_2658.jpeg I’ll never see one, no of use will for real, but using again what we have then at least bring some Railway 200 themed liveries and scenarios for the community to enjoy or even take part.

If we want it then what’s stopping us from trying?.

The Doors are open, for here to contribute in celebrating a once in a life time opportunity.
Something I’m sure non of you want to miss out on.

Yep something else that would be a benefit to rail as awhole. Fund raising for trust and charity.
My Aim with if the sales of a Livery or a DLC was to be done. Money would go towards the charity it’s been set up for.

The case in question is could that be done with sales from DTG to raise money for the partner charities of Railway 200.

For that and for the benefit of fans and rail companies coming together to enjoy the same passion.

    Trains and Railways.

I'm assuming your other hobby is either, footy, liv golf, fringe related stuff the O bahn or Holden which is why you might've heard about SA. Though two of the things listed might cause issues for any developer making an Adelaide Metro rail network route due to licensing. As when it's a footy game or even gather round (aprilish) there is a ton of marketing everywhere at the station and on board the trains which would require licensing from the AFL. Then there is the LIV golf (Mid-Late Febuary) which will require the competition to be made like tents, fences etc due to the Grange rail line literally running through the golf course as seen below. So there might be some issues making the Adelaide metro Rail network. [IMG]

Following forum tradition then there is only one loco that can be 'teased' on the 1st. And that is the mighty Class 01. ;) :D

Anything for a new UK shunter. It get that nearly 1000 Class 08s were built but they aren’t the only ones! I would love to see the Class 14 come to the game

    Thank you:)
As you can see I have a passion for making liveries. That’s my enjoyment, and others like them then I consider it a job well done.

Plus after nosing around a few forums here and there I get the general impression Rail Fans are not to overly enthusiastic about what some TOCs are doing.
So by adding something fictional like 43 803 hopefully it adds some joy over what liveries we have on offer for the event already seen.

Again all this is to add to the Railway 200 celebrations in order to raise awareness and money for Rail 200 partners.
The intention of this livery is purely Railway 200 on a Iconic Train. A train many would love to ride on again.
Could they be re activated, spruced up for the event, ticket solids for a HST service with proceeds going to charity?.

Maybe,,,. But what ever the case we can try replicate the event on TSW so we can enjoy what we all do best.

All things Rail related. A coming together in celebration for Railway 200:)

If it isn’t something that ties in with the 200 anniversary then I think they will have missed a massive trick! I would love a new steam loco but I think something like a Deltic might be more likely.

Again missing a trick is the point.

Many of you here are constantly asking for locos of all variants or trying for certain routes. Many are a very personal choice which may not always be a commercial success.

But if DTG to was to make the Big Meeting or Greatest Gathering then it would be one route as a show (Derby). And then have some routes as mixed locations. They would also be adding all the locos that would be there.
Meaning DTG have made the locos, locos we then can use for formation designer etc.

DTG wouldn’t have to make 20 routes for an introduction to the locos.
They made all the locos in one go, for the Greatest Gathering. So a Deltic, we get the loco, no route but it’s a compromise between a full DLC and users seeing or getting there hands on some one of locos in a new TSW6 or a separate TGG 2025 DLC.

Who would not buy a DLC of that event with all the fantastic real world locos that will be there.
We get the locos, and it’s an opportunity for DTG being involved with Railway 200, and for DTG to make some locos they may never do because on there own they may not be commercially successful.

This way I feel its a trick no one should allow to disappear in a puff of smoke.
You see it, and I see it. I think if would an amazing surprise, something completely out the blue for fans.

I hope so for the Railway 200 event and all it’s fans, including us here at DTL. Could even draw more user to the TSW franchise. Imagine DTG being a partner to Railway 200 and the amount of media attention they would get for the company.

Massive amounts, who would not want to tap into that marketing hype.
If DTG was my company which obviously it’s not then I would do my up most to help Railway 200 raise money and provide for fans of TSW, even those that love trains but not aware of TSW.

To give what fans want for this special occasion.

Except that they were not shunters but trip working locomotives. Agreed though, Class 14 would be awesome.

If nothing else, the 14s are Heritage Railway regulars, there was a whole gala just of the type a few years ago on the ELR

    https://www.flickr.com/gp/r-t-c/d8WL64983G

Would be a great addition to new preserved route.

Wensleydale Railway also has 2 class 14s (Teddy Bears) now and they use them on their industrial loco weekends.

actually matchbox cars-fire service. They had a few lettered for SA (loosely lettered). Back on trains. Some marketing things could be left out of the game. But the gold course, yikes.

Interesting to see if there is any significance to their chosen challenges.

A google search did reveal that there are 173 Nautical Miles between Rotterdam and Great Yarmouth.

These would be quite plausible options for summer routes/TSW6 launch routes - Norwich with its branches and the mainline to London would be a very popular UK choice and Rotterdam would make a great second Dutch route too.

Or the seven hour night crossing from Harwich to Hoek Van Holland. Bobbing across the North Sea on the Princess Beatrix in a firm “sleeper” chair. Dodging the drunks and vomit piles on the occasional trip to the loo and hoping your bags haven’t been pinched (or puked on) when you return to your seat.

Then arriving in HVH after a pretty much sleepless night, to discover your onward 11 hour journey to København on the so called “Holland Scandinavia Express” is in a DB 232 Bm with seats that made your local town corporation buses seem comfortable!

The sad part is that this will likely be better than the real thing this Summer. It has a steam locomotive in it which is an automatic win.
