Cathcart is a good example of a network route done right. The route is much better built than Cardiff imo
I would say Cathcart and Bakerloo. The latter because it is still the only unique London tube line in the game. Cathcart because compared to Cardiff it is a decent length and with recent updates and layering somewhat less empty.
Cathcart, easily. My home route and Glasgow Central is a station I'm very familiar with having worked there on the ticket barriers until Covid. The remaster, Class 380, the accompanying timetable from the 380 (with all of the layers active) and non linear nature very easily makes Cathart Circle a 9/10 for me. It's my most played route on TSW for a reason.
Cathcart is a great route, especially after the remaster, the 380, and the new timetable. I love trainspotting at Glasgow Central. Suffragette is slso a brilliantly made route.
I voted Cathcart, because Glasgow Central is very busy and it offers two different EMUs, both are quite fun to drive. I also voted for NLL because I like the London skyline in the background.
Why can we not vote for all of those choices I would say personally that each and every TSW trainset are worth it, they all have their own charm and enjoyment
The whole point of the poll is to make you think about which would be the best. Otherwise it would be like having a talent show or beauty contest and making everyone the winner. Or Carlisle United should win the Premier League alongside Manchester United or Spurs!
I don't know what league Carlisle United are actually in but the way this season has gone for Man United or Spurs, they are probably more likely to win it anytime soon tbh
I used to run Carlisle in one of the very old Football Manager sims, think it was the EA Soccer Manager around 1999. Usually got them so far then they plunged back through the relegation zones to where they started!
Voted for Cathcart, the route came into it's own after Liam gave it a remaster and the new timetable! Cardiff has a lot of potential, but DTG need to follow Johanne's example and extend the route so we get full branches. It's crazy that I have to say the latest UK route is in need of a remaster, but after the high quality of the Dutch route, DTG really can't hide behind this one.
I only own 4 of those routes so for me it was a toss-up between Cathcart, LIRR (the original one) and Harlem....with Bakerloo not even considered. Harlem Line was left to rot but is still pretty decent and Cathcart (imo) is way too short to keep me immersed, so my vote went to LIRR. Mainly because it's the only USA route I still play on a regular basis. I did consider the updated version but it's a bit too pricey for the relatively small amount of new content, so I stuck with what I already had.
This has been so obvious going so far back that even the Maître D from the Chinese restaurant in Seinfeld knows it. Bless his heart, but we know. We are all Cartwright. “Cartwright” Circle https://youtube.com/shorts/T2RZH2x3bKg?si=ho0i5e0LG5Ez_eBR
Voted for Cathcart as since its remaster and the arrival of the Class 380 it feels more alive with the increased amount of AI traffic.
LiIRR. It's the most accomplished and more of a network than Cathcart. Other than those two, nothing stands out.
None of them are appealing to me. Mainly because I like rural landscapes and freight and they are all urban commuter passenger routes. There's just nothing for me to vote for.
Cathcart & Bakerloo. Cathcart has 3 different paths (Newton, Neilston, & Circle) plus plenty variety when it comes to rolling stock. And Bakerloo is the only LUL line and the only fully modelled route (a rarity).
That's why there's the 20, 31, 33, 37, 40, 45, 47, etc. Unless you have to have routes from today. Even then, there's several good choices like the Class 68 or Class 70 that would be great in game for modern routes. Which is fine. I run a couple old routes in TSW, then move on to other games like Run 8. I realize most of the content of TSW isn't made for me.
