Hi Dovetail Team, I’d love to see more iconic steam locomotives added to Train Sim World 5, especially: • New York Central Dreyfuss Hudson – A streamlined masterpiece that could be used as a mixed-traffic engine, pulling both the 20th Century Limited and freight! • LIRR H-10 Steam Locomotive – A powerful workhorse from Long Island’s steam era, perfect for a 1920s-30s historical Montauk Branch route. • SP 4449 (American Freedom Train) – The red, white, and blue Bicentennial engine that toured the U.S. in the 1970s. A perfect celebration of American rail history! These additions would bring variety, nostalgia, and excitement to the game. I’d also love to see vintage NYC routes with accurate signals, stations, and passenger/freight operations. Thanks for all the great work you do!
Sadly, DTG have stated they are no longer doing steam traction for TSW so little chance of this becoming reality.
There are rumors that they may get Smokebox's help for bringing American Steam to TSW But it's nothing is confirmed at this time If anyone were to do it. It's Smokebox
#4449 AFT sounds really good, along with the SP Daylight and BNSF liveries. Also, ATSF #3751 and #2926, UP #4014, #3985, and #844 (also other units in each class and 4-12-2 and 2-10-2 (#5511)), NKP #765, PM #1225 (Polar Express), PRR K4s #1361, SP Cab Forwards, ATSF 3460-Class "Blue Goose" Hudson (and other ATSF Hudsons), PRR steam
I'd like to see some American steam. I like the looks on those things. Personally I think they look better than the British steamers.
Honestly any steam trains would be nice but DTG doesn’t really like money going off the fact they stop making steam content
