Hi, as Denuvo has been removed recently from TSW4, could we get an official confirmation that Denuvo is not present in TSW5? By the way I raised a topic regarding different TSW4 vs. 3 performance where Matt was claiming they had to be the same... hardly if one included Denuvo and one not (I found somewhere that TSW3 did not have it). Sending my geetings to DTG Matt https://forums.dovetailgames.com/threads/tsw4-vs-tsw3-performance.80170/ Thanks!
Tsw4 and tsw5 are 2 different games. Same game, different downloads so tsw5 would still have it unless they say they specifically took it out for tsw5
Hello folks, today FEBRUARY 12th 2025 we have an update for Train Sim World 4 for players on PC platforms (Steam and Epic Games). This update only serves to remove Denuvo Anti-cheat from the core game, and there are no other changes.
Thank you very much for stating the obvious - that TSW5 is a separate game and that they never said they removed it from TSW5... This is exactly the point of this thread - is it there or not? I read that at least in October last year TSW5 was free of Denuvo...
So, if they never said they removed it from TSW5, that would mean it's still in TSW5, would it not? If they removed it, they would have said so. They haven't said anything about removing it from TSW5 (the latest announcement from February 13th this year specifically mentions TSW4), so it's still in TSW5.
TBF, I played TSW5 a bunch lately since I finally picked up the core routes, and the biggest shock to me was how reduced the stuttering is over my experience of TSW4 on this exact same system back when it had Denuvo. So assuming from the fact every prior version of TSW has shipped with it, that it's in there, they managed a much better integration of it this time around.
Are you finding that with the default game? FWIW I found 5 to be worse than 4 with stuttering and hitching.
Calidore266 Thank you for saying it for me... I really do not understsnd why people that have zero knowledge or at least certainty regarding the topic tend to provide final answers. More so when I already wrote I had a reasonable source stating Denuvo was not present in TSW5 back in October last year. I am not asking without a reason - if TSW5 contained Denuvo, I would try to reinstall TSW4 snd play older routes there... So once again, question for DTG please: is Denuvo currently part of TSW5? Many thanks!
Omg guys, if Denuvo was part of TSW 5 then why they will give the game for free ? What will be the point if they have to pay fee for Denuvo implementation ?? And then dont forget that .exe file with denuvo is 300 MB while TSW 5 is only 89 MB, its without Denuvo and it never got Denuvo. It was directly released without it. So if you still complain about stuttering because Denuvo is the problem (like there is some other threads about it) then like i wrote in that thread, Denuvo was never the stuttering problem. So stop complaining and asking about Denuvo, its not part of TSW 5!
