Why is it that when I arrive at the station, the game doesn't even ask me to open the doors. The scale just freezes on the passengers boarding
Been months since I played this. Basically the only route I drove when tsw5 came out but it’s getting worse and worse every update. More crashing, worse textures, is there any hope of this ever being fixed?
PS5 After a long time I tried to install the map, along with Kassel-Wurzburg, Rhein Ruhr + BR101, Niedertalbahn, Linke Rheinstrecke, RP Vectron and TGV .... so just a few layers ...... but it is obvious that the ICE 1 and ICE 3 layers are the main problem, because it started to blur again
True, after I disabled the ice 1 and 3 layers...i got no more crashes on series X... the blurring is still there but i get the blur issue also on other routes. Mostly the tod4 routes.
noticed that routes that don't have tod 4 really impact routes that have tod 4. For example, everything is fine on Cathcart apart from the 350. Not that it affects it too much but it sucks up a lot of memory
Hi everyone, I want to ask you something. Is it worth buying the Frankfurt-Fulda route? I have a PS4 Pro, or will it not run well on this hardware?
It doesn't run that great on the newer consoles I'm on xbox x and its still poor maybe you could buy and try if not good get a refund dont know of you can do that on the ps store
It’s unlikely that I’ll get a refund, but I don’t want to take any risks, so I’ll buy something more stable.
This is a great route, one fault i can find with it is a missing 160 speed board near the 84.2 distance board (direction Fulda to Frankfurt. Also the ICE T will not show the correct PZB restrictions (like the ICE3 and ICE1). See https://forums.dovetailgames.com/th...on-with-mfd-still-same-bug.85590/#post-981241 for a better explanation than i can do. Edit - Forgot to add, i cannot get the 114 breaks to work properly, even on full service they dont really seem to do much.
The 160 mark is GNT only I think. That's why there is no board next to the track, as non-tilting trains aren't allowed to speed up there.
I only started to put some time into this route after owing it since release. I have to ask one question, was it actually ever play tested? I found in the space of about 30mins while getting collectables and looking around the stations, 9 locations where you fall through the map. Only for the spawn points I'd never touch this route again, it's got more holes than the Titanic. Very, very sloppy route construction and QA. If you purely just driving it's OK it for about any sort of explorstion as the route is very far from finished in alot of placrs and this is 7 months after release.
The route gets more and more undrivable on Xbox X. Even in an own Scenario, with no trains driving. The only trains are standing around in Frankfurt and Fulda. The game stops randomly and closes
April 10 updates scripting error: DB Vectron BR 193 running freight down from Fulda with AFB 100 under LZB with PZB 70 and Sifa gets red on black msg that more points if enable ATB. Yup. Scripting is coding and needs testing ...
So, question about the Vectron DB (and also RailPool) It seems to be missing its function to enable wagon lights. You can find it in the menu, but there's only an "off" options. Is this correct? Personally, correct or not, I would like it fixed That way I can use the Vectron DB for Spoorlijn Zwolle - Groningen Free Roam IC services while the carriages are actually lit.
I never noticed that. You guys give good info for those of us who aren't familiar with all these trains. There are manuals, but I probably wouldn't learn or even notice some of these things without these forums
Is there such a thing as the possibility it may be so IRL because of the absence of some "passenger package"? Asking cause I really don't know. Being that these two are freight locos (vs the Flixtrain one). If not, could we ask the person who recently modded the Vectron for NL to fix this? On the RP one too?
Maybe, but if so, I wouldn't expect functional door open/close buttons either. Besides, it's such basic functionality, I don't see why they wouldn't add it even if just for the one off charter service. Either way though, this would be one of those cases in which I don't really care if it is or isn't present IRL, and would suggest there's no immersion lost whatsoever in including it regardless.
Weirdly, some 423s spawn without a visible switch in that location, although the LZB hotspot still functions
Interestingly I just got blurring for the first time on this route on PS5. Very odd considering I haven’t installed any new content in ages, so one of the recent updates must have caused it. Although… I am a bit curious whether the driver assist presets have something to do with it. I had them set to Standard at the beginning of the service (had just done the trophy), but eventually set them back to my normal settings (Expert preset, but with the notifications turned on) and the burry textures went away. Maybe there’s a memory leak associated with the auto coupling or junction switch settings.
The screen still flickers. When I select from the timetable mode, some trains start at strange positions.
Just crashed TSW5 running BR 111 cab car on PS5 ... not just Mildmay line crashing. And loading as slowly as a stuffed goose waddling uphill ! I had to sit and wait to get the RE number and timetable service code for the trouble ticket ( yawn ) Lucky for me, i have no interest in Train Tycoon Road-blocks so i am spared those problems ...
With the Expert 101 Timetable, I frequently encounter trains blocking each other, especially near Frankfurt Main Hbf. Many signals are set far too early. This even happens sometimes during trips as ICE trains, resulting in the RB always going first in Wächtersbach. Is there an error in the timetable?
Most definitely. With workarounds and everything but no official DEV fixing their errors. It's frustrating (spent 300 hours playing only this route neverless)
The expert tt is build from the original FTF tt. When DTG released their patch for the original tt those changes have never been released for the expert tt. Not sure if TSG has patched theirs internally at all but even if, with DTGs track record for releasing patches for 3rd party DLCs we will probably still need to wait a long time for it…
Haven't had TSW installed for months. Wanted to have a go and decided to reinstall mostly my german routes. what followed was a huge batch of updates for tsw, got me hoping the biggest problems are ironed put by this point, its 7 months since release so surely they have figured it out. Nonsense, how foolish of me thinking that dtg is capable of fixing a non functioning windscreen wiper. (BR114). Have to state that the Expert 101 TT of this route is still unplayable in the evening hours due to a AI train crossing a red light and its still not fixed. They really have to be joking, 7 months after release of their 5th iteration of their bug riddled Train Sim. Its a broken mess. And of course, they again pushed the price up for new routes.
Just to elaborate on this, you can complete all of the expert 101 runs by spawning on foot a couple of minutes ahead of the scheduled service. I have actually completed all 101 services on this tt…
While this route is still highly frustrating on console, I must say the route is at least somewhat playable. The majority of freight services towards the Fulda end of the route work without any major issue - even the framerate on Series X is quite alright too; however, the blurry textures are still consistently a pain and do still ruin the overall experience nonetheless.
Possible Fix for crashes on Mittenwaldbahn and Frankfurt Fulda for Xbox series X: After testing i've found that if you dont use quick resume (loading up the game with all the dlc before starting Fulda or Mittenwaldbahn) will help prevent crashes. Also I used HD graphics (yes it looks not nice, but i got used to it) from the settings and Custom Clear weather. Make sure you dont use much of the external camera's or photo mode. Zooming in maybe also builds up memory. Also prevent using open windows in the cab and avoid using the horn if you can as much as possible, because somehow I think the sound engine can also make the game crash and will build up memory usage. On mittenwaldbahn you can get away with a lot more gameplay like external views and looking around etc because the route is more forgiving than Fulda Frankfurt. So... basically sit in the cab still...and just drive the train But with this method I could complete long services, also during rush hour. No problems when entering Frankfurt hbf for instance. More info from the dev's: https://forums.dovetailgames.com/th...nds-to-help-performance-reduce-crashes.88010/ Hopefully the dev's will fix these 2 routes... so we can play them normally. But for now this should work for some people that are willing to take some sacrifices.
I noticed that both the cab interior and the signal lights of the DB Vectron move with the suspension, but the loco body itself is fixed which looks weird (similar to the problem when the Pendolino was released and the seats didn't tilt with the wagons). Incidentally, the same applies to the Railpool Vectron, whereas the Flixtrain Vectron is not affected. It would be nice if this could be checked and fixed.
Today I drove the FLX 1819 (with the original timetable without BR 101 Expert) and was absolutely annoyed. In Hanau, I was already more than 10 minutes late because in Wächtersbach the RB once again prioritized the signal over all other trains. Even deleting trains didn't help because in Hanau trains continued to push ahead again. The timetable has now become a complete disaster.
Had posted this in another thread, but also very relevant here too: So, have also done quite a bit of testing of Frankfurt-Fulda on Series X and here are my observations. Would also love to hear from others on Series X as well as PS5 too... Anyway, the absolutely vital thing that seems to stop the video memory errors is switching your display from 4K to HD in the settings menu - so far I've now managed to play and, most importantly, complete around 15 services (ranging from the 642, 114, 146, dosto, 101, 411) in a row without problem! Bear in mind, the blurry textures still persist frequently and are a major issue, but at least the route is playable. However, just one thing, after finishing a service at Frankfurt Hbf, while walking around, the game did randomly close to the Xbox dashboard, but other than that, nothing similar. One other thing of note, make sure you always have the interactive map zoomed out as far as possible, as that seems to effect performance. I've also noted that when in HD, I've had no issue with different weather conditions - from overcast to rain etc - using the horn, windows, using the external camera (well not at Frankfurt obviously) and so on. Between Frankurt and Hanau, performance on Series X can be quite atrocious at times, especially Offenbach in particular, but after Hanau up to Fulda it greatly improves. One other observation, many of the freight services (especially towards the Fulda end of the route) as well as the short 423 S-Bahn services and FlixTrain worked mostly without issue, even with 4K enabled in all different types of weather - though probably because all these don't go to Frankfurt Hbf. For context, before I switched to HD, this was the result when using 4K. Out of the four services, two worked, while the other two had video memory errors (one arriving into Frankfurt and the other having just departed); what's interesting is one of the video memory errors occurred when having changed the weather to overcast, but when I replayed the same service to clear, custom weather, it worked. So, it seems clear, custom weather is more important when using 4K than HD I've noticed. Welcome any more feedback from other players. Whether it makes a difference or not, but I have 41 DLC currently installed for TSW.
Hi has anyone done job RB51 (15500) everytime I start before I can do anything i SPAD. This route is a joke I've doing 3 jobs and it's crashed everytime before I could even set the train up.
Posted this in another thread: So, have continued playing Frankfurt-Fulda with HD as mentioned earlier. Have managed to play more than 30 services without issue - and when the route works, despite the super annoying frequent blurry textures and sometimes poor performance, it's very enjoyable. However, just to be clear, it's still not a complete fix, sadly. On departure from Frankfurt, had my first video memory error while as HD - weather conditions were heavy rain - but having replayed the service again with just overcast, it worked without issue. The only other problem so far was when playing another service and got to Hanau before the game froze and closed to the Xbox dashboard - weather conditions were foggy. So, best to keep saving the game frequently, especially for longer services.
Some more feedback, but I've wondered why this livery for the ICE 1, which can be used for Kassel-Wurzburg, is not available for Frankfurt-Fulda as well as other routes? Would be nice to have some more variety...
For me the service works fine (xbox) I am moving the train to Frankfurt Hbf, then change ends... and continuing my route to Frankfurt Sud
