I've noticed the class 40 locomotive has a similar system to 37 however it's sound system has no faults or errors compared to the 37 so I can appriciate the engines. It growls like a tractor properly. Really enjoying that unit, wishing 37 could be fixed up. It's been broken for as long as I remember it.

The 40 in game is very good but does lack a few nuances. It’s a bit subdued at maximum engine output when it should be roaring away and you don’t get that frenzied churn when the field diverts kick in.

Defenetly needs a patch to iron out the things mentioned. It should be brough to the attention if possible. Its not often we get so lucky around with the old diesels

Personally, I don't think the 37 sounds amazing. Some of it's sounds give me the impression that they're synthesized rather than sourced from the real deal. If the Class 37 ever got a new release in TSW, I think DTG should try and obtain the AP sounds for it which are absolutely phenomenal as demonstrated in the video here at 03:00 :)

Don’t know if anyone recollects but when TVL first released the 37 sounds were quite appalling. Virtually none of the classic EE “stack talk” and an appalling loop in the cab effects. I actually refunded TVL at that point because the main selling point of the route was so awful. I can’t recall how long it took them to buff the sounds but eventually it did sound passably like a 37, at which point I rebought the route.

dovetail owes us a re-mastered 37 with cold dark, clag and cold start effects after over 5 years of broken class 37s. then we'll call it even. AP's class 37 is very well made.

I'd love to drive APs class 37 but i've falled behind on the required DLC and the cost to catchup is nearly 300 dollars. I can't afford that just to get 1 locomotive to run perfectly.

Unbeleivable that such popular locos are virtually left alone. Meanwhile onto the next BIG REVEAL!!!!!!!

The 40 is definitely one of my favourites in the game, and indeed outside of it, too. One of many reasons why I hope to see NTP revisited someday, a little bit of a refresh and a new timetable with some of the stock that's been added since its release would really put that back atop my most played routes.
