So started playing sandpatch grade again whats the difference between the locos each loco has 2 or 3 different versions thanks. Why are the trains a lot shorter on this compared to the other routes.
Mostly paint schemes, SPG had each locomotive with the YN2, and YN3b paint schemes, for the SD40-2 and GP38-2, the YN3b versions also have a post upgraded look to them, such as the addition of AC units to the roof. This post from the Those Small Details..... shows them side by side. Functionality, each locomotive is basically the same despite the paint, a Yn2 SD40-2 works the same as the Yn3b SD40-2, and applies to the AC4400CW and GP38-2 as well.
As far as train length, SPG was the very first route created for the game (it wasn't even called Train Sim World then) back in 2017, and that was the best they could do at the time. IIRC, Sherman Hill was the first US freight DLC to bump the trains to 100 cars.
Man these sd40-2 struggle to get up the grade 1.0% 10mph 50 coal wagons and 2 locos wow now at .15% and it will not move now in dry weather any tips would be great but to me seems very under powered.
Several services on SPG are in dire need of assistance, it would be nice to get Remaster and maybe even add the option to swap out locos or add an extra helper. I made this video a while back, and it gets even worse with rain and snow. I think I still have a recording from when I tried doing it with heavy snow, I must have spent 3 hours or more, and I couldn't get the mountain. While other services have 4 Locos for empty hoppers.
Thanks for the insight I thought i was doing something wrong its a shame they dont sort these things out so we can enjoy it properly.
Really, this may be a wrinkle, I did notice a fair amount of changes with SPG; gotta get together with my daughter to edit the videos I recorded.
