As railway enthusiasts and avid Train Sim World players, we believe the time has come to expand into Spain and include one of the most iconic high-speed routes: the Barcelona–Lleida line, part of the famous AVE route connecting Barcelona and Madrid. This route stands out not only for its national significance but also for the beauty of the Catalan landscape, its world-class railway engineering, and the potential to offer a realistic, immersive experience highly sought after by the Spanish-speaking community. With stations like Barcelona Sants, Camp de Tarragona, and Lleida-Pirineus, players would have the opportunity to experience authentic high-speed operations. We understand that, due to licensing issues, including RENFE trains can be challenging. That's why we propose a practical and exciting approach: using the DB BR 403 (ICE 3) as a temporary replacement for the AVE S103. Both trains share similar design and performance, as the AVE S103 was developed in collaboration with Siemens, based on the same base model. This step would not only open the door to future expansion with official Spanish trains, but would also serve to gauge player interest in Iberian routes. And there are many of us waiting for something like this! We invited Dovetail Games to consider this proposal. Spain has a lot to offer in the world of simulations, and this could be the first step in a new universe within TSW.
