Driving London to Brighton 1W98 service , got to near Hassock {about 2 miles away} keep getting failed pass red signal, but all the signals are green and it failed with no signal on that bit of track. Is it a bug, any help pls.
When this happens it's usually caused by an AI train somewhere else on the route. This shouldn't happen of course, but in a busy, complex timetable like London-Brighton things can sometimes go awry. It's more likely to happen when playing a game that you've resumed from an earlier save.
Might be worth submitting a formal support ticket. This was happening frequently on Spirit Of Steam at certain times of day and it took a year for the issue to get sorted, largely thanks to Matt P the EP working on the problem in his own time. This is why the game needs an algorithm that checks if the SPAD is an AI train and simply removes it from play (so it can’t cause a collision or blockage) rather than penalise the player and terminate their run. Unfortunately there is no easy way for the player to identify the faulty service and preemptively go in the 2 D map and try to delete, before it has the SPAD.
Ha this reminds me of the unfixed SPADs right at service start on so many services on Frankfurt-Fulda after 1430 o'clock. "Deactivate all 363 layers" did the community work out, but guess what the Developers did since September last year to resolve this? Sorry for sarcastic thread hijacking.
