I have 3 routes now, semmeringbhn, nahverkher dresden, and HRR
It feels a little sad, because this routes are great! ( talikng to Naverkher dresden)
But dtg is not caring a little bit about these routes :/ No bug fixes, No patches, only for newer routes.
Just so weird, so many people still play tsw2 routes, so why would you just let them behind?

Probably when the yearly update comes. But there are over a hundred dlc. They can't always update the old content.

Most DTG content is sold on a fire and forget basis, even where promises have been made it’s the start of something great, as happened with Spirit Of Steam. The remasters which have been done have been as a result of kind individuals working in their spare time for no financial reward. The old preservation crew who would touch up routes to modern standards is long gone. The business model now revolves around the concept of push it out the door, for as much as we can get away with charging and hope enough people are daft enough to buy it to cover the break even revenue projection.

Add to that, overly hype up mediocre content in a insincere overly enthusiastic fashion, for it to be half of what it was hyped up to be...

They are updating GWE, which is a TSW1 route. There have also been a couple of updates to WSR. Not German routes I grant you but they are classic routes that have been updated.

Yes, if they are british ones! Sometimes if they are german routes. If it's an american route... well... Forgotten 2 weeks after release.

You must be joking, the only care that’s gone into classic routes is a one man army going by the name of DTG Liam. DTG or anyone else from their team have not invested any time, they only care about their next project. You better savour every ounce of the GWR remaster when it gets released as this will be the last “free remaster”. You can expect to be paying for any future upgrades to routes or expect no upgrades at all.

Nahverkher Dresden Is in a good state it doesn’t need any work done to it. Frankfurt on the other hand is a dumpster fire of performance, I’ve never experienced so many crashes when playing a route on the PS5. Literally I never had a single crash before until I played Frankfurt. It’s a shame really as it’s a really nice route, but the performance around the Frankfurt area sits at around 15-20fps for me. I haven’t tried removing any layers to improve performance, but if I ever did play this route again that is what I’d do.

No. Not even routes developed within the last year. Hence my repeated posts in the feedback forum about rivet managing to break the running sounds on Fife circle which worked fine until they released a "patch" which broke them and made the route worse.

How dovetail can have the cheek to say they test every patch to make sure it doesn't break anything else yet miss something as obvious "does the train sound like it's running over rails rather than floating" and to completely ignore the problem and feedback is beyond me.

The only hope for a US update was Matt's "supposed" update to Clinchfield, which now seems like it has been postponed indefinitely.

This Text should be within a dialog box prior purchasing a DLC followed by the usual: Do you really want to buy ? ( )Yes ( )No
This might end these endless and often useless discussions in this forum.

Those updates weren't 'official' DTG upgrades though, just upgrades done by a small group of DTG employees in their spare time.

Having been playing a bit with my PS5 version of NTP this morning if there's one thing the older routes need, it's to go back in and add the reverb to tunnels and bridges. The Class 45 sounds superb but this is a route with multiple tunnel sections and it is so disappointing that the sound field just stays flat as you pass through. I don't know how much work and testing would be involved but it would IMHO make a huge difference.
