Hi, Is there anyone who can help? The class 350 in TSW 5, when I put the handle into off and release the train still has a 50% brake application? I’ve tried everything and just can’t get it to work? To get it to release I have to move the handle virtually into step 1? Also when I release and close the doors the cantrail lights are still illuminated. Thank you in advance.
They're called BILs (Bodyside Interlock Lights) Just tried the class 350 on XBOX Series S and it's working fine. What platform are you on?
The 350 has a holding brake which means even when you have released the brakes the train will still keep some on until you either apply power or start moving. Lots of trains work this way
I think I’ve discovered the issue, upon opening the speedometer I noticed there seems to be two positions for “0” (I’ve attached pictures) the red “0” puts a brake application in. I’m using the rail driver interface program and using the thrustmaster hotas. When I centre the throttle the in game PBC goes into the red “0” therefore entering a brake application
I'm also having the issue on PC. 50% brake when white 0 below 3 mph / 5 kph. Is this a design feature of the train? It makes coupling in low speed a little bit painful to be honest. Also mentioned in this thread .
I've only driven the 387 in London Commuter. It doesn't seem to have any issue coupling at slow speeds (1-2 mph). Does the 350 seem to have this system set too aggressively? Also btw how do you couple in the 350? Or do you couple with a speed above 3 mph when contacting?
It’s a holding brake, I don’t think the Electrostars have it. When it comes to coupling it’s just the normal way, you can see in this video the driver is only inching forward to couple, they’re not putting much power into it
I started to feel that it could be caused by the overpowered braking tune of the 350s in TSW. The 700 Thameslink also seems to have this system, but it feels less jerky overall, and achieving a smooth stop is not hard. It just feels like someone slamming the brakes completely in a car at every red light.
