That's absolute true! I bought this route a while ago but haven't played it yet. Today I made a quick run and was amazed how well road traffic is done there. Starting with the number of cars on the roads and how smoothly they take turns (without abrupt changes in direction like on many other routes), and ending with the modeled interiors of parked cars — it all adds so much to the immersion and makes the scenery feel believable. Well done! I wish every addon to have road traffic as good as in here (looking at SB).
Luzern-Sursee doesn't get enough love - one YouTuber even placed among the four worst routes in TSW! Sure, it's a short one train bus route, but then so is Goblin. I find L-S very nice for what it is (and the train is a great one) I suppose it's harmed by Rivet's reputation- even though 2 out of 3 Swiss routes they've done are pretty good.
I agree. Had a drive on there the other evening (I like to work the monthly mastery on routes I might not have touched for a while) and yes, actually enjoyed it more than Goblin. It helps there is a mixture of stopping and semi fast trains to choose from. Although it won’t happen for various reasons, I could even have been down with Rivet extending the route a little further.
The problem is that IRL it isn't isn't a one-train route. There is massive variety of superb trains IRL, and it's no fun to play the route knowing what's not there, and will never arrive.
