Other DTG dependencies include WCML(S) for the CL350, the Pendolino, ECML (for the CL66 and FKA wagons), WCL (for the CL37, Turbots and Seacows), NTP (for the TEA tanks), FCL (for the CL170), MML (for the CL158), CL158 Scotrail, TVL (for the BBA wagons), CL20 pack (for the PGA wagons), CL31 pack (for the PCA wagons), ECW (for a second CL66 and JNA wagons), PBO (for their TEA tank) and GWE (for the HST). I think that is everything. If you are interested in seeing a bit more of Birmingham in your scenarios then please download and give it a go (As with my other mods, all feedback will be appreciated, as it is the only way I can improve things moving forwards). Thanks and Enjoy !!! ----------- NOTE: Below is the original page 1 post in this thread. I have hijacked it to create the above list of links to help anyone wanting to try out my mods. Everything you need is in one place ----------- With a view to trying the same in TSW5 I thought I would try to see if I could bring the WCML, plus the sidings and link line, into play at Lichfield TV in a scenario. And the answer is "Yes I can" (Ignore the stock choices and liveries, I just bunged anything in).
So the above obviously led me on to complete a Birmingham Cross City Paths Mod that I had started months ago. Here are some screenshots of me testing a circular path at Birmingham New Street (utilises the Camp Hill line). Just some random trains going round in circles Will be uploading this extra mod quite soon
Final ones. As usual, all of these are from a Scenario (no Free Roam or Timetables here). No too long before you will be able to see a full-up Birmingham New Street
Junctions at Lifford and Aston both seem to be playing ball so, I think, this mod is practically there. (Currently sitting at 90 additional paths for BCC with the ability to bring every platform in to play at New Street). Onwards and upwards Both junctions giving the opportunity of adding a bit of freight to the route and, perhaps, some hold-ups to the player services in scenarios.
Last screenshots. I have enough now to do a final mod check and upload. Probably tomorrow I'll try and show a proper screenshot of a full-up New Street tomorrow just before I upload. Then everyone can have a bash at recreating the same. A busier BCC route has got to be a good thing.
Bromsgrove - all platforms now in play plus loop and sidings Spotted a couple of typos and one pathing error at this end of the route. Not too much effort to correct though
I'm very glad to see these extras, as I spent a lot of time making sure that these portions of line were signalled.
That was forward thinking The Camp Hill line has been very handy in bringing a few extra sections to life in Scenarios. Here's a few screenshots from in and around New Street. (Setting this scenario up has highlighted a couple of minor issues so I'll work on that next). Enjoy
And finally....... Note that all the screenshots above have been taken from a 10 minute scenario that has been designed to fill up most platforms at New Street using the normal Scenario Planner tools. No Free Roam or Timetable here. New Street isn't the greatest place to take screenshots but, hopefully, these have given everyone an idea of what can be achieved fairly easily.

As a trial I have just uploaded THREE scenarios for BCC on to the TSW Hub. 1) A straightforward run from University to Four Oaks but, now, you will see far more AI services than ever before on a BCC scenario. (Over 20 services in a 45 minute scenario). You will also come across a far busier Birmingham New Street than normal when you pass through. 2) A train spotting type scenario based around Lichfield Trent Valley where you have approx 15 minutes to explore the station and watch trains on the WCML. After which you then drive your player service on a short run to Lichfield City carriage sidings. 3) A fast run from Bromsgrove to New Street in a CL170 DMU. In this scenario you get to drive on the fast lines at Longbridge for a change before ultimately arriving at a far more busier than usual Birmingham New Street. I have put these scenarios together manually with files from both my TSW4 and TSW5 set up so I am slightly concerned that there might be an odd livery or two not pop up correctly. So can you please, in particular, look out for the "Yellow" CL323 and a Redstripe CL37. Both should appear in all 3 scenarios. These are all TSW5 scenarios (mainly for the Pendolinos) but I will be releasing similar TSW4 versionS (using Pretendolinos) very soon. Other dependencies include WCL (for the CL37 and Seacows), NTP (for the TEA tanks), FCL (for the CL170), MML (for the CL158) and GWE (for the HST). I think that is everything. The first scenario has the most complicated timetable as it is a stopping service. Please try and stick to the timetable below to see that scenario in its best light. (Scenario starts at 10:10 - giving you 5 minutes to set up train and explore station). University arr 10:15, dep 10:16 Five ways arr 10:19 New Street arr 10:24, dep 10:26 Duddeston arr 10:30 Aston arr 10:33 Gravelly Hill arr 10:38 Erdington arr 10:41 Chester Road arr 10:43 Wylde Green arr 10:46 Sutton Coldfield arr 10:49 Four Oaks arr 10:54. You could print this off as a helpful guide as I am unable to add the timings to the scenario itself. Good Luck Please let me know how you get on.
Some final screenshots from the University to Four Oaks scenario just uploaded. Fingers crossed that it works OK.
Thanks for the kind words. Mind you, sometimes, I think your own screenshots never look as good as someone else's. I always like to have a bit of colour in mine wherever possible
your more than welcome. im assuming for great graphics is coz you have a far more beefy pc than mine, not to mention im not a great photo taker for ground-breaking photos like the ones above.
Hi and thanks for sharing your work. I finally decided to try installing some packages from "Train Sim Community." I installed (subscribe) the three scenarios and the liveries. I downloaded the packages (MODS/PAK) and copied them into my DLC folder. However, the scenarios don't seem to work properly. I feel like I'm missing something. I don't understand: "BCC Scenarios - Links to Mods Required." Thanks for your help.
Hi There. Thanks for giving it a go. I'm sure we'll get you there in the end Firstly, you are a PC player aren't you? Mods cannot be added to consoles. Assuming you are then you need to download/subscribe to the following; 1) The BCC Extra Paths mod - called Spikes Brummy Paths from TS Community and move the pak file to your DLC folder. 2) The Extra Formations mods - "BR Blue Formations" & "Class 66 Formations" and move the pak files to your DLC folder. 3) The 3 scenario files. (Just subscribing to these on the Hub should be good enough for them to work). Assuming you have done the above then you have done all you need to do to mod your system. The only other checks you need to do is that you also have the required DTG routes for the scenarios to work. These include WCML(S) for the CL350, the Pendolino, WCL for the CL37 and Seacows, FCL for the CL170, MML for the CL158, ECML for the CL66, GOBLIN for the CL710, ECW for the other CL66 and GWE for the HST. Obviously you also need BCC for the actual route and the CL323 itself. That is quite a lot of dependencies. Do you have all of these?
Thanks a lot! - Firstly, you are a PC player aren't you? (yes) - 1) The BCC Extra Paths mod - called Spikes Brummy Paths from TS Community and move the pak file to your DLC folder. \Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Train Sim World 5\WindowsNoEditor\TS2Prototype\Content\DLC I'm now using TSW Mod Manager) 2) The Extra Formations mods - "BR Blue Formations" & "Class 66 Formations" and move the pak files to your DLC folder. (yes, all these .pak files are in the DLC Folder) 3) The 3 scenario files. (Just subscribing to these on the Hub should be good enough for them to work). (checked) I don't have "ECML Diesel Railtour Pack", but otherwise I have all other UK packages. ($$$) Well, do you see anything wrong? Maybe I'm just mistaken and everything is fine. I was just expecting to see more traffic or other trains around. That said, in one of the scenarios, I'm not really sure which train I'm supposed to board at the station. In any case, a big thanks! I'll give it another try.
Erm you're not supposed to board any service. These are scenarios so you actually spawn in the cab of the player service??? What you should be doing is going into Creators Club and then Scenario Planner. In the SP menu pick the BCC route and the 3 new scenarios should show up in the route's list of scenarios. Just select one of them and press Start. The scenario will load and you will be in a cab. Is the above what you are doing?
There are plenty of "other trains about" in these 3 scenarios. Generally you will see an AI service or two every couple of minutes.
Thanks for the information. What I usually do is go to 'Creators Club' / 'Online Sharing Hub' / 'Subscriptions' / 'Subscriptions-menu' / Any Scenario / 'More Info' / 'Play Scenario'. With this method (strangely, I’ve never done it with TSW5—only with TSW4), I can see the scenario, but I received an error message: 'Formation cannot be used with this scenario, please choose another formation. No error with 'Bromsgrove.' Since I’ve never manually added a pak in TSW, I’m not familiar with the process and might have missed a step. Again, a big thank you.
Are you playing in TSW4 or TSW5? The 3 BCC scenarios are TSW5 only. Are you saying that you can run this scenario OK? (The scenario starts with you in the cab of an orange CL170 at Bromsgrove. A CL323 service departs ahead of you, a CL158 service passes by heading South and then an HST comes through the station heading North. Do you see all that?). I get that message if I have forgotten to put my pak files back in after I have updated my system. This is where I install mine. Simply download the pak files and Copy & Paste them from your downloads folder to the one below. C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Train Sim World 5\WindowsNoEditor\TS2Prototype\Content\DLC
Hi and thanks for your reply, I'm playing with TSW5 only (I no longer use the older versions) Exactly as you mentioned, I haven’t had any trouble with the Bromsgrove scenario, and I can see the trains you indicated Same path (although on a different drive, as I use an SD drive exclusively for games) Everything sounds good. For a reason I haven’t figured out yet, TSW5 thinks that a formation cannot be used with two scenarios. Thanks for your concern, however, it’s surely something I didn’t do correctly. I’ll look into it more thoroughly tomorrow. It’s Murphy’s Law—the first one you try never works. Once again, thank you so much for sharing your work.
And out the other side. I then spadded at Trent Valley due to me forgetting to path another service out of PL3. Typical
This was a very pleasant surprise for me. One of my BCC scenarios in a You Tube video. TRAIN SIM WORLD 5 ! BUSY BIRMINGHAM - YouTube Thanks very much to Powerflower Trains. It really was fascinating watching one of my scenarios on my telly and listening to a commentary about my work. (Including wondering why one or two of the liveries chosen hadn't shown up correctly). The best thing is, though, that my original concept of creating extra paths, extra formations and making modded scenarios available through Creative Centre does work. So I am very pleased, and relieved, with that.
Fantastic!! Excellent work! For now, I’ve completed the journey with the Class 170 [Bromsgrove to BNS Fast]!! Thank you for sharing your creations. (There’s still a formation issue with the other two. I ran an integrity test, and everything appears normal. I’ll try uninstalling all three packages and reinstalling them. Maybe there was an error when I extracted the files). I’m excited to try more of your scenarios. See you soon!!
Hi!! I don’t see the problem. With Train Simulator (Classic), I managed debugging quite well. However, I’m not very familiar with the structure or how to add custom elements. Otherwise, I would try to find the formations linked to the scenarios and remove them one by one to identify the faulty one. I’ve checked everything, so I’ll try installing other scenarios. Thanks again! !!
I think I might do. As you got one scenario to work then that suggests you have put everything in the right place. However, the fact that you are getting formation errors says that something is missing in your set-up. And I'm wondering if it is my extra formations for the CL710? (Which are found in my Goblin Paths mod). So, assuming you haven't done already, could you please download and install my mod "!!SpikesGOBLINPaths" from Trainsim Community and see if that fixes everything. Just drop this .pak file in to your DLC folder with the others. Let me know how you get on please. Good luck.
Thank you very much for the follow-up. Indeed, I did not have your !!SpikedsGOBLINPaths. Unfortunately, I still have the error that I need to choose another formation. Maybe I should go back and try to install previous scenarios. Thanks anyway, really appreciated. !!SpikesBRBLUEFormations : 16.65 MB 3 days ago !!SpikesBRUMMYPaths : 0.02 MB 3 days ago !!SpikesCLASS66Formations : 1.85 MB 3 days ago !!SpikesGOBLINPaths : 0.03 MB 1 day ago
Hi Denis, Thanks very much for your comments. You'll be pleased to know that there is another scenario to come that see you driving a freight service over the full length of the line and, as usual, with plenty of signal checks and interesting AI movements too. Plus there is also a 20 minute train spotting scenario at New Street that is quite good fun. Then I need to release my scenarios for EDN-GLA / Tees Valley and GOBLIN. If you have the stock and the mods then you will really enjoy these. (In fact I would say many of these are much better than the scenarios I have released for BCC).
3 new scenarios coming along very shortly. 1) Drive a CL66 on a freight working across the full length of the BCC route. 2) Trainspotting at Birmingham New Street. 3) Explore the Camp Hill line in the NR Flying Banana. (Yes you can drive all the way around it in a scenario). Some screenshots in the postings below. Class 66 Freight first.
Birmingham New Street Train Spotting Scenario has just been released and is available here. Creators Club - NEW STREET TRAIN SPOTTING (DJ) (See also page 1 of this thread for further info on other files needed for this scenario to operate correctly).
National Rail (Flying Banana) Circular Scenario has just been released and is available here. Note: This one needs the Invisible Walls removal mod to enable the Camp Hill line to be brought into play. Invisible Walls Removal (trainsim.cz)
Class 66 PCA Diversion Scenario for BCC has just been released and is available here. Creators Club - 11:40 PCA Freight Divert (DJ) (See also page 1 of this thread for further info on other files needed for this scenario to operate correctly).
