Probably safe to say that anyone who got TSW5 after the starter pack ended probably ended up with at least WCML South.

Amen brother. I have always advocated that there should be one version of a loco as part of the core (with all its liveries and variants) that is 'unlocked' by a DLC, not 50 different versions of the same loco. It makes absolutely no sense from a coding perspective, is not sustainable for updating, and not to mention a senseless waste of disk space.

Imagine for example in American Truck Simulator, if each new map had new, individual versions of the core trucks, it would be completely illogical, yet this is what happens in TSW.

 

Im looking forward to this pack, day one for me, but without speaking for Skyhook, I wouldnt expect the containers to feature in livery designer. From seeing how these seem to be randomised from set colours and container length. I agree though it would have been amazing to see. Even if from a PC persective if we were able to mod a selection of textures rather than one blank one that will change colour randomly.

 

There are mods to change the original containers to various real world liveries so I'd think this pack will be the same once it's released.

 

That depends on whether the modders buy the pack…..not guaranteed!

 

Just watched some video of the new intermodal vol 3 looks good and looks there is a whole new timetable for each one but I could be wrong.

 

They are made by swapping out the default logo texture files for Hapaq Lloyd, Hamburg Sud, ONE etc. Then changing the one blank texture that randomises, forcing it to only show one colour and use that to get one extra logo in. Which results in 3 modded operators and one that dominates the consist (the modded blank texture, that would have been the random colours). The Preston Carlisle FFA FGA would have logos by this point had it been possible with this method.

To confirm, none of the existing branded containers have been used with the FCA as we found they looked out of place on a largely unbranded formation. The FCA only makes use of the blank container with colour application from a selection of 16 sampled colours from real containers.

It's possible that it will feature on a forthcoming TSW6 route that has not yet been announced.

Was there supposed to be an update for ecml and wcml in preparation for this dlc ?
