Unfortunately I have to report again about this issue, I "suffered" on TSW4, but now it is again on TSW5! Situation: I am driving a train, and when I wants to take picture...and after doing it, sometimes, it "ejected me"outside the cabin"!, and l appears on the underground - or even inside the "floor" of the cabin! So the train go away, and I lost it! Here you have some pictures: Please notice this happens... in a random way... I believe. I mean not every time I took a picture. As you can see I am driving the Holland route. Which all the first week of having it, no problem at all! This does not never happened! Then again the same I experienced on TSW4. So... I believe this could be caused by some of the recent updates. I am on PS5.
Another issue I noticed related to the Holland route, and the Vectron, is about saving the game, and later or another day load it again: The DB Vectron before saving it has all the systems working, and electric power But after loading the game again the power is out! As you can see there is no blue bar at the left side of the right screen. Please notice the speedometer: 80 km/h. So the train is running at that speed, but no power at all. Same as explained before this happened after the last updates. Hopes DTG can fixed it soon.
Honestly, who knows if the save game system will get sorted out, it's been like this for some time, If memory serves, it was an issue for all of TSW4's reign, Sometimes it will work, and more often than not, it will cause an issue, like a Red Light Bug, I made a video on this. The save game is hit or miss, and just like the Bug when pressing #1 more than once can cause you to get stuck in the roof of a train and or turn the seat solid, or both. These have been like this for a very long time. But this issue with the camera, getting stuck under the track bed or the ground, started with TSW5 when it was released, it was worse when going through tunnels, which was worked out, and it seems like it is back again. Maybe file a support ticket?
I never experienced that on tunnels. Due to I does not take pictures there. Only from outside, showing the trains appearing. I am wondering now, if this happens due to I was driving a "Free Roam" train.... But I did it before without problem. Only difference, is previously I used free roam with freight trains on this route, and this last one, I use a passenger ones. Those ones were created with Formation Designer tool. But the other issue about no power on the DB Vectron after reloading a saving, is new. I will do some checks about it.
It really should not matter, key word "should" not, but as for the tunnels, it was when and if you wanted to use the #3 chase cam, or use the #0 exterior cam option via keyboard or right stick press hold and select camera option. Every so often, I still get a glitchy camera on my XB1X or series X.
On PC you can press 1 to put you back in the drivers seat. On console try pressing the equivalent button.
When it comes to consoles and the PC keyboard hotkeys, it's the same buttons, you just have to plug in a keyboard to make them available.
Here's a question. When you take a picture, are you activating the game's built in photo mode, or just taking a screenshot using the console's screenshot button while on the external cameras with the hud turned off? I have only ever used the latter (Back upper right paddle on my XBox pad, F12 on Steam) , have never run into this problem, and I am wondering if the reason it ejects your player model into the floor and the train runs off when you try to exit the external cams might be down to the ingame screenshot mode mucking about with coordinates in a way it should not be. Normally, only the external cams should be able to clip through the scenery like that, it's just what they have to do when there's no space. I've only fallen through the floor in a couple of spots in specific TSW maps before. Mosty only at unusually frustrating intersections of geometry.
Thanks for your comments and replies. Yesterday later at home, I drove the Koploper - double one - at night, the full length of the Holland route. In order to check, if it was related to the train used. I took lot of pictures, and ... nothing happened. Fortunately! Everything works as it should. Then I guess the mentioned issue, can happens with "Free Roam", and with some trains. Please notice I used a "formation designer one" with several passenger passenger cars, repainted in Nightjet color. Even the Vectron locomotive is a repainted one, on NS colors. Beautiful one! Then I believe all those "features" are too much for the game on PS5.
Oddly, that would happen while in Freeroam, but then again, this is TSW, and the oddest things seem to happen; either way, good to hear ya have it working.
