I really think that DTG should add an additional view option when clicking R3 and going into Internal Cameras to add the option of “Rear Cab” so you’re instantly inside the rear cab and can then do the necessary adjustments before starting a route. When driving the Class 101 & F40PH-2CAT for example, it can be a pain having to run down to the back of the train and pop on the marker lights and set up the destination board in the Class 101’s case. Don’t get me wrong, it can be done already using an external view camera but you’re unable to actually go into the cab so unless you know where to look, it can be fiddly. What do you think TrainSim-Dmitri TrainSim-Matt ?
That's simulated work on the railroad: sometimes you just have to get off your simulated bottom and take a simulated hike. Unfortunately, there's no simulated helper to handle such chores. That's true in the case of coupling: in TS, clicking an icon on the thoroughly unrealistic "dashboard" will couple or uncouple, but in TSW this work requires leaving the cab (most of the time, anyway). I, for one, appreciate these tasks -- even in the rain, sleet, snow, and dark of night.
Then DTG should put the driver into the cab giving him enough time to set up both ends of the loco before the train is due to depart. On Peninsular Corridor you do not have enough time to go to the other end of the train then back and set it up without going over the time of departure.
On PC you can use CTRL + and CTRL - to cycle through cabs - but there's no equivalent on Console yet.
