PC Really Disapointing Control For Pc/keyboard/mouse Playing; Really Weak Documentation/support

So I've been just sort of playing around trying to get used to CTS:Tram. First off, the support documentation is pretty lame and sparse, and I think a Wiki like the one that exists for TSW is a necessity. The controls are not always described correctly, and don't always act or work as described in the minimal support info provided in game. Took me hours to figure out the the R key was an on/off toggle key, and when toggled on, there's never a way to get back to the main camera in the cab using the F1 key (and no indicator in the HUD or anywhere else to indicate the R key toggle status. But my biggest complaint is the throttle/brake control. In TSW, in almost every route and loco I've ever used, the keyrpess commands, even for combined throttle/brake controls work rather responsively and it doesn't take long to get a "feel" for them and know how to use them. That is simply NOT the case in CTS:Tram - at least not with the lousy single tram one gets to start! (I'd rather just pay to get access to other trams rather than play the silly games to earn points to level up. Me, I like to drive. Not so interested in route building, finding easter eggs, etc. Give me a decent livery from the start, and let me just drive and learn the routes.) Anyway, the response to the W/S keys to increase and decrease throttle/brake are horrible, with really inconsistent sensitivity. (And yes, I'm using a higher-end keyboard., and one that works superbly on TSW5.) I'm a pianist for over 65 years now. I know how to control my finger presses.Yet the exact same weight/length of finger press never yields even close to the same change in the throttle/brake. The response senitivity needs some serious work. It's almost too responsive, and it's definitely too inconsistent. In the amount of time I've spent trying to get a feel for just that one available tram's controls, I could have mastered smooth station and yard stops on multiple locomotives. And I still don't have a good feel for it, because the keypad respoonse is too inconsistent. (Also, not having a continuous throttle gauge that can be always on in the HUD is just plain rude. It should be an option. The brief onscreen flashes are not visible for enough time to process the fine art of knowing what amount of throttle or brake is necessary.) I hate for this to sound so negative. CTS:Tram has a lot of promise, I'm pulling for it, and hope to see it succeed and improve. However, my initial time playing around has not been rewarding enough to give me the patience to wait for that. TSW (which I've used from v3 to now v5) has far superior documentation, support, and control interface coding to provide excellent sentitivy and feedback for keyboard/mouse use of throttle, brakes, etc. I'm suprised Dovetail is allowing their reputation to tbe tarnished by the lower quality of these same elements in CTS:Tram. I'll also add that more abiliity to interact directly via mouse with the controls (especially the throttle) would be nice-as long as it won't have the same issues that currently plague using the keyboard!

FWIW, remapping the camera keys to 1,2,3,4 instead of F1-F4 doesn't make a difference in this behavior. I thought perhaps some other program has the F keys captured and was interfering, but that doesn't seem to be the case.
